C3646M-C (6/09) 7 Description The CM970 0UTP Series mul tichannel active receiver is a 16- or 32- channel uni t that can receive liv e video ove r unshielde d twist ed pair (UTP) cable. The front pa nel of each mod el contains a dial and a LED per channel; d ials are used for selecting cable distance.

C3646M-C (6/09) 13 COLOR VIDEO RANGE SETTINGS For optimal tuning, adjust t he rotary switch located o n the front pane l to the correct colo r video range position. Ref er to Fig ure 8 and T able D, and then complete th e following steps: 1. Plug the power cord into a po wer source to turn on the unit.

16 C3646M-C (6/09) ADVANCE BLACK-WHITE V IDEO SIGNAL SETTINGS (DAY/NIGHT CAMERAS) Using a video signal gener ator , complete the following steps to fine tun e the black and white signal: 1. Verify the color vi deo signal (refer to Advance Color V ideo Signal Settings o n page 15).

For inf ormation ab out the operating temperature range, refer to Specifications on page 20. FAN FILTER: CLEANING OR REPLACING Filters can be cleane d and reused, or they can be replaced.
18 C3646M-C (6/09) FAN REPLACEMENT Fans maintain the u nit’ s internal temperature within the specified range if t he ambient oper ating temper ature is at or below 95 °F (35°C).

Loosen the four thumb scr ews located on the front pa nel cover (ref er to Figure 16 ). Pull the fro nt panel away f rom the chas sis , and then let it hang from the fr ont panel bracket s.
