2 Smart-DTA Quick Start Guide 1.0 Power up the Smar t-DT A 1. Connect the Smart-DT A to a power source using the included power supply and cable. 2. When the Power LED stops blinking and remains lit, the Smart-DT A is ready to configure. • The Smart-DT A contains no user ser viceable parts.
Smart-DTA Quick Start Guide 3 2.0 Connect the Smar t-DT A to your local network Y ou must connect the Smart-DT A to an IP network that provides a DHCP server . Using the included black Ethernet cable, connect the Smart-DT A RJ-45 Ethernet W AN port, labeled ETH (see figure 1 ), to an Ethernet hub or switch on the same network as your PC.
4 Smart-DTA Quick Start Guide 3.0 Connect the Smar t-DT A to an ISDN phone 1. Using a straight-though cable, terminated with RJ-45 connectors, connect the BRI port of your Smart-DT A to the S/T port of your ISDN phone, as shown below: Note: Other pins are not used.
