Help 40 8H e l p Error Messages 8.1 Err or messag es – Repor ts If a problem occurs during f ax transmission or reception, one of the f ollowing communication messages will be printed on the sending and journal repor ts (page 24). COMMUNICA TION ERROR (Code: 40-42, 46-72, FF ) L A transmission or reception error occurred.

L Disconnect the unit from the telephone line and connect the line to a kno wn working telephone. If the working telephone operates properly , c ontact our ser vice personnel to hav e the unit repaired.
