6 Chapter 1 Basic Menu Features Chapter 1 Basic Menu Fe atures Basic Oper a tion Pr ocedur e The machine automatically d etects the origin al(s), and decides on whi ch Copy Size , Black & White or Color Copy Mode to use. If the detec tion fails, manual ly set the settings.

(Up to 999) z When in putting a n umber 4 to 8 digits in length, wi th the optiona l Fax Commun ication Board installed; th e machin e interprets th is as a te lephone nu mber , a nd switches to Fax Mode and displays the Number Pad screen.

10 Chapter 1 Basic Menu Features 2 Color Mode Color origi nal can be copied in 2 Colors, which can be achie ved by using Black & another specified color . The specified color can be sel ected from the basic colors (Red, Green, Blue, Y ellow , Magenta, Cyan), and registered colors.

Adjust th e copy density according to your requirements. z Origina l T ype setting selec tion is not a vailable wh en the 2 Col or , or 1 Color mode is chosen .

After confirming it s quality , the remaining copies can be pri nted. 1 Place ori ginal(s). z Refer to Placing Originals (Copy) in the Opera ting Instr uctions ( For Basic Opera tions) of p rovided boo klet.

35 Chapter 1 Basic Menu Features R ecalling a Pre set J ob Stored in Memor y The specific copy job w ill be done by re calling the regist ered preset jobs. A job cal led “Double Expo sure” is set as defaul t. Refer to Double Exposure in the Operating Inst ructions (Fo r Basic Operations) of prov ided booklet.

47 Chapter 2 More Menus Features Copying Special Originals (Thin Paper, etc .) from the ADF SADF This mode adds a 5 second delay to allow another ori ginal to be placed on the ADF . S pecial origi nals (like thin p aper , etc.) can be fed from the ADF , and copied continuously usi ng the SADF Mode.
