9 RQT8859 HDD (Hard disk drive) handling care The HDD is a high precision recording instrument and because of its long recording capability and high speed operation it i s a very s pecial device that is easily susceptib le to damage. As a basic rule, sav e import ant content to a disc as bac kup.

COMPONENT V IDEO term inals can be used for either interlace or progressive output ( ➡ 85) and provide a purer picture than the S VIDEO OUT terminal .
17 RQT8859 When connected to a n HDMI com patible unit, an uncompressed digi tal audio and video signal is transmitted. Y ou c an enjoy high qu a lity , digital video and audio with just one cord. When connecting to an HDMI-compatible HDTV (High Definition T ele vision), this unit’ s output can be switched to 1080p, 1080i or 720p HD video .
18 RQT8859 STEP 1 Connection ≥ It is recommended that you use Panasonic’ s HDMI cable. Recommended part number: RP -CDHG15 (1.5 m), RP-CDHG30 (3.0 m), RP-CDHG50 (5.0 m), etc. ≥ Non-HDMI-compliant cables cannot be utilised. Preparation 1. Connect t his unit to your TV or receiver with an HDMI cable ( ➡ 17).
19 RQT8859 If you connect this unit to t he TV that has “HD A VI Control 2” function w ith an HDMI cable, you can enjo y using mor e convenient functions.
