4 P o wer and Sound Contr ols P ower If the vehicle is not running yet, turn the ke y in the ignition until the accessor y indicator lights . Press [PWR] to s witch on the power . Changing A udio Modes Press this knob [SEL] to change the audio mode as f ollows.
5 F ader Press the knob to select the F ADER mode and then tur n it clockwise or countercloc kwise to shift the sound volume to the front or rear speakers .
6 Radio Basics Selecting a Band Press [B AND] to change the band setting as follows . FM1 a FM2 a W/B a AM (W eather Band) cd "ST" indicator lights when FM stereo breadcast is av ailable . Manual T uning Press [TUNE j j ] or [TUNE i i ] to tune in a higher or lower frequency .
7 T uning in a Preset Station Press the corresponding preset buttons [1] to [6] to tune in a preset station. A uto Station Preset Select a band and press and hold [SCAN] (A UTO PRESETS) f or more than 2 seconds. ● The 6 strongest av ailable stations will be automatically sa ved in the memor y on preset b uttons [1] to [6] .
8 T uning in a W eather Band Station Press any of the b uttons [1] to [6] to monitor the preset station. W eather Band Stations National W eather Radio Broadcasts from over 380 locations throughout the U .

10 CRW400U In Case of Malfunction Reset Switch If the unit does not respond when the function buttons are pressed, press the reset switch with a small pointed object, such as a pencil point. This will restore the unit to its def ault settings. All pre viously stored memor y settings will be erased.

12 ❏ Installation Procedures Note: Disconnect the cable fr om the negative (–) battery terminal. 1 Mounting Collar Dashboard Mounting Tab Screwdriver 2. Secure the rear of the unit. a) Inser t P ower Connector to the unit. b) Check the electrical connection by ref err ing to this operating instructions.
13 T o remove the unit fr om the vehic le's dashboard Inser t each remov al tool and pull. Note: Do not lose removal tools . They will be needed to remo ve the unit from the v ehicle's dashboard.
14 Electrical Connections Cautions: ● This product is designed to operate with a 12-v olt negative ground battery system. ● T o prev ent damage to the unit, be sure to follow the connection diag ram below . ● Do not inser t the pow er connector into the unit until the wiring is completed.
