38 :: Ph one ov erview Phone overview The Phone application lets you make and receive calls a nd store favorites fo r contacting people and opening ap plications. Be sure you k now how to turn on y our phone bef ore reading this se ction (see “T urning your pho ne on and off ” on page 15).
Phone overview :: 39 Y ou can monitor the statu s of several items using ico ns at the top of the Ph one screen: Network name Displays Cingula r W ireless when your ph one is on and y ou are in a coverage area. If you are outside a coverage area , No service or SOS On ly appears instea d.
40 :: Ph one ov erview Displays the battery charge status. When the battery drains to 2 0% of its capacity , the icon ch anges from blue to red. At 10% of its capacity , you begin to receive warnin g messages, and at 5% of its capacity , the phone beeps and the icon changes from red to clear.

Y ou can use the VersaMail account with your Earthlink or BellSo uth email account or any other P OP3 or I MAP email account .

Messaging :: 83 Chatting with Messaging W hen you exchange more than one message with a single contact, your messages are gro uped into a chat session. The upper part of the Chat View displays all messages you’ve exchanged with this contact, and the lower part provides a text entry area.
