i 2022 ISDN Teleset 8 TERMINATING RESISTORS The i 2022Teleset S Interface module h as built-in Terminating Resi stors. The Terminating Resi stor switches are located on the top of the Interface Module. When the swit ches are in the ON position, the Terminating Resistors a re installed.

i 2022 ISDN Teleset 11 INSTALLING THE LOGO PLATE ASSEMBLING THE i 2022 Inserting and removing the modules The i 2022 Teleset require s either an S Interface module or a U Interface Modul e. There are also optional Data Modules available. There are two slots on the bot tom of the i 2022.
i 2022 ISDN Teleset 12 SOFTKEYS Directly below the display are four softkeys, vertically-oriented to the display. The location of these keys corresponds to menu choices that appe ar directly above t hem in the LCD windo w. For example, pressing the softkey below the “clo ck” menu reveals the options for setting the time of day and date.
i 2022 ISDN Teleset 13 Example: Press the softkey under Directory - shown belo w by highlighting ( bold type) the word “ DIR ” and highlighting the softkey below that menu item. Pressing the Directory softkey brings up the second menu with additional choices.
i 2022 ISDN Teleset 14 The Auto-Install programming choice s are: Adjust Contra st – Select Yes or No. The i 2022 may display a wait message and start a countdown. This is the T- Wait timer. SPID – If the switch supports Auto-SPID you will be prom pted to choose a SPID.

See page 6 for further information on setting the PS1/PS2 switch. 3. Verify the Terminating Resistor (TR) switch is set corre ctly.

i 2022 ISDN Teleset 18 Manually Programming Call Appearances Take a look at the layout of the Line and Call Appeara nce ke ys. These (32) keys are lo cated on the far-right hand side of the phone. The upper-left-hand key is the default or primary key.

They will light as you press them. Enter the second DN as a seven-digit number. Ente r the Bearer Service as Spe ech, and then press Save .

i 2022 ISDN Teleset 26 PrimCA (Primary Call Appearance) Primary Call Appearances are Call Appearan ce lo cations you consider to be your own. Do not confuse PrimCA location s with Primary Directory Numbers (PDN) which are used by your service provider to identify a particula r phone.
i 2022 ISDN Teleset 27 Intercom Intercom is a Call Appearance assign ed by the telephone co mpany switch to be used as an intercom. To manually program a hardkey as an intercom, press MENU , MORE , MORE , Con fig , ICOM . Select the Call Appearance to be used as an Intercom, by pressing it.
i 2022 ISDN Teleset 28 To return to Manual Answer, press the Manual Answ er key. Speed Dial Key Assignment You can assign Speed Dial numbers to individua l hardkeys. Programmable ha rdk eys may only be a ss igne d to a si ngl e fun ct ion /fe atur e. If a har dke y is already assigned, it cannot also be used for a Speed Di al key.
i 2022 ISDN Teleset 29 If a number is entered that exceeds the 24 digits displayed, the display scrolls to the left and show the last 24 digits entered.
i 2022 ISDN Teleset 30 After the entire number is viewed, pres s t he edit key and edit the number as above. To originate a call using the Speed Dial key, press the bu tton that has been programmed wi th the number to be dialed. The Teleset will automatically select a line and di al the number.

i 2022 ISDN Teleset 34 PLACING CALLS The two methods of placing calls are O n-Hook and Off-Hook diali ng. Dialing Off-Hook 1. Lift the handset (go Off-Hook), listen for dial tone and note the stea dy, gr een Call Appearance key. 2. Using the touchtone keyp ad, dial the number and observ e the call timing feature.

i 2022 ISDN Teleset 36 3–Way Conferencing Conferencing T wo Outgoi ng Calls 1. Place the first call. 2. Press the Conf or the Conf/Tr softkey, the phone automatically provides dial tone from another Call Appe arance. This display is shown after the second call is ringing.
i 2022 ISDN Teleset 37 Conferencing an Outgoing Call to an Incoming Call 1. Place the outgoing call on Hold by using the Hold key. 2. The outgoing Call Appearance will flash red. 3. Answer the incoming call. 4. Press the Conf (conference) softkey and the phone ad ds dial tone from another Call Appearance.
i 2022 ISDN Teleset 38 Directory Changes When Directo ry ( DIR ) is pressed, the following is di splayed. If adding an entry, enter the name, press the same keys that are used to dial numbers on the touchto ne pad.

At this point, the user may either press Next or Prev to scroll throu gh the entries or enter a name from the keypad. When the keypad is pressed the display will change a s shown below.
i 2022 ISDN Teleset 40 DIALING OPTIONS Dialing Options allow the user to automat ically add prefix di gits or strip off digits, which are not needed from Directory Numbers recorded in the call log. For example, a digit 9 is required when dialin g calls outside your busin ess group.
i 2022 ISDN Teleset 41 To set the Control type press Change . In our illustration we will use Semi Auto, since it will be the most commonly used option. Press SemiAu and then press Sav e . After the Control Type is chosen, enter your Phone Number (Direct ory number) as a 10 digit number.
i 2022 ISDN Teleset 42 Outside Code – This is the prefix you dial to reach a phone number outside o f your business group. This is usually a 9. Local Calls – This is the number of digits requi red to dial a local call after the Outside Code is dialed.

The softkey CalLog will change to NewLog upon receipt of an unanswered incoming call to Prime Call App earance s. To access to the call records, press the CalLog , or NewLog , softkey on the startup screen.
i 2022 ISDN Teleset 44 If the dial option is set to Semi Auto, the following display is returned. Select Inside if the call is within your Business Group. Select Outside if the call is outside of your Bu siness Group. If the Dial Option is set to Auto, the call will be dialed.
i 2022 ISDN Teleset 45 When the number is transf erred to the Direct ory, you have an opportunity to edit the name. Use the ∗ key to enter an asterisk or a hyphen. Use the # key to enter a pound sign o r apostrophe. Use the DN softkey to toggle between the Name and the Telepho ne number.
