Safety Precautions Read this manual and b ecome thoroughly acquain ted with it before installing or starting the refrigerator. The following safety precautio ns and recommendation s contained h erein are for your protection. Improper installation, adjustment, or operation can cause injury or property damage.
Safety Precautions - continued Electrical Circuits - AC and DC • The 120 volt AC circuit must be properly grounded. Never cut or remove the round grou nding prong f rom the re friger ator’s AC co rd. Do not us e a two- prong adapter . Do not use an extension cord to connect to t he approved AC recept acle.
General Instructions - All Model s The refri g erators described in thi s manual are de- si g ned for built-in ins tallations and re q uire cut out di- mensions as i ndicated on pa g e . The refri g erators must be plac ed on a solid and level floor awa y from heat g eneratin g sources.
VENTILATION REQUIREMENTS WARNING: Carbon Monoxide can cause nausea, fainting, or deat h. Inadequat e ven- tilation or partial blockage of the refrigera- tor’s flue can result in increased car bon monoxide emissions when operating in the gas mode.

Side Wall Clearance - Figure 4 1. Fi g ure 4 il lustrates the re q uirement to minimize the clearance at the sides of the refri g erator. The clearance is not to exceed 1/2 inch. Side clearances in ex cess of 1/2 inch must be either filled wi th Fiber g las battin g or blocked with pan- elin g , etc.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Certification and Code Requi rements The refri g erators described herein are certif ied un- der the lates t edition of ANS I Z21.19 Standards b y the American Gas A ssociation ( A.G.A. ) for installa- tion in mobi le home or recreational vehicle and ap- proval b y the Canadian Gas Association ( CGA ) .
Gas Connection The refri g erators are desi g ned to operate on pro- pane g as at a suppl y pressure of 11 inches water column. A pressure re g ulator is re q uired between the refri g erator and the main g as tank. Do not connect the refrigerator dir ectly to the main propane tank without a pressur e regulator.
suppl y connects to the terminal bloc k at the rear of the refri g erator ( See Fi g ure 9 on pa g e 8 ) . The 12 volt DC should enter the refri g erator’s encl osure near the refri g erator’s terminal block . The 12 volt DC connects at ( 2 ) one q uarter inch q uick connects.
Check O ut - Flame Fail ure Safe ty Devi ce Before placin g the refri g erator into operation, the g as safet y device must be tested ( see Operatin g In- structions on pa g e 13 ) . The purpose of the g as safet y device is to prev ent the escape of unbur ned g as from the burner if the burner flame is extin- g uished.
4 Remove the lower door b y openin g it sli g htl y and pullin g the top of the door awa y from the refri g erator. Allow enou g h room so the door can be li fted up and off of the bottom hi n g e pin shoulder ( See Fi g ure 18 ) . Be sure to save the hin g e plates alon g with the spacer used in the middle hin g e bracket, for reassembl y late r.
ALIG NMENT OF THE DOORS 12. Ali g n the upper door with the lower so that there is a parallel g ap between the doors and around the frame. Ad j ust the doors to the cabi- net so the g askets seal but do not bind. Ti g hten the screws holdin g the hin g e brackets in place.
Lighting and Start Up Procedures WARNING: DO NOT HOLD GAS VALVE (D) IN MORE THAN 30 SE CONDS. IF FLAME IS NOT INDICATED WITHIN THIS TIME, TURN GAS TO OFF, WAIT 2 MINUTES AND RETRY. CONTINUING T O HOLD GAS VALVE IN WILL CAUSE GAS BUILD-UP IN THE BURNE R AREA AND CAN RESULT IN AN EXPLOSION WHICH CAN CAUSE P E RSONAL INJURY OR DEATH.

FAILURE OF REFRIGERATION Failure of refrigeration does not necessarily indicate that the cooli ng system is defectiv e. Other factors governing its operation must be checked. If the refrigerator is operating on gas and a loss of cooling i s noticed, switc h the refrigerator to AC elec- tric operation.
