Introduction 1 This Application Memory Card gu ide includes in formation on the Appl ication Memory Card for Nokia 9 1 1 0 and 9 1 1 0i communicators. On the memory card there are three pre-in stalled applications : WAP services, Fi nd, and Quick imaging.
2 ©2000 Nokia Mobile Phones. All rights reser ved. 5 Close the hatch and replace the battery. IMPORT ANT! Keep all memory cards out of small children ’ s reach. Make sure that the hatch is closed before replacing the battery! Do not remove the memory card in the middle of an operation.
3 ©2000 Nokia Mobi le Phones. All rights reserved . You can find WAP services under the Internet application. See figure 3. Find and Quick imaging applications can be found under the System application. To view files stored on the memory card, select Open in the Notes application.

5 ©2000 Nokia Mobi le Phones. All rights reserved . To backup and restore data using the memory card To make backups of various communicator data to the card, select Backup/ Restore in the System application and choose Settings to change t he Connection type to Me mory card .
6 ©2000 Nokia Mobile Phones. All rights reser ved. To use the memory card tool To check that the card is ready for use, select Memory card tool in the System application and press Check card . See figure 8. Note: If you rena me your card, the new name has to be in capital lette rs.
7 ©2000 Nokia Mobile Phones. All rights reserved. 2. WAP services The WAP services application can be used to access Internet services whi ch are based on the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP). These services can contain news, weather reports, flight times, dictionaries, etc.

Differences between the WWW and WAP services applications The WA P services applicat ion is similar to the WWW appli cation in the Nokia 9 1 10 Communicator but there are two significant differences: • The WAP services application uses a data call to access the WAP access points.

The WAP access point settings are: Access point name — Y ou can give the access point any name you prefer (max. 30 characters), for example the name of your WAP service provider , so that you are able to separate different access points from each other .
10 ©2000 Nokia Mobile Phones. All rights reser ved. Bookmarks Press Bo okmarks in the applicat ion main view to open the Bookmar ks list. The name of the WAP access point used for connecting to the bookmark is shown next to the bookmark title. See figure 3.

To connect to WAP servic es After you have set a valid WAP access point, you can start using the WAP services by pressing Home in the main view of the W AP services application. See figure 1. Y ou will get a “ Connecting t o service ” note, telling you about the progress of the connection.
12 ©2000 Nokia Mobile Phones. All rights reser ved. Save as document — saves the page content to the Down loaded files folder . Reload — reloads the current address from the network. Y ou will have to start browsing the pages from the beginning. Back — opens the previous page if available.
13 ©2000 Nokia Mobi le Phones. All rights reserved . To use the navigation commands WAP service pages have different commands. Here are some of the possible commands which may become available while browsing: Go — Select an active link and press Go to open a new WAP service page.
14 3. Find With the Find application you are able to search for different kinds of documents and files which have been saved either in the memory of the communicator or on the memory card.

17 ©2000 Nokia Mobile Phones. All rights reser ved. Documents found view After the search has been completed you can see the documents in the Documents found view , see figure 2. Y ou have three options: Press Open to open the file or document. The button is dimme d, if it is not possible to open that file in the Find application.
18 ©2000 Nokia Mobi le Phones. All rights reserved . To use the Menu b utton When you press the menu button in t he Find application main view , the following options appear: Save search criteria — allows you to save your search criteria for later use in the Find appl ication.

Quick imaging The Quick imaging applicati on allows you to receive images from a digi tal camera via an infrared connection and send them as mail attachments. It is also possible to receive images from another communicator , a scanner or a PC, provided that they support the IrTran-P protocol.
20 ©2000 Nokia Mobile Phones. All rights reser ved. To receive images and send them as mail attachments, press Re ceive to mail . Images will be saved either to the communicator Downloaded files folder , or on the memory card, depending on what you have define d in the settings.
21 ©2000 Nokia Mobi le Phones. All rights reserved . Troubleshooting 1. A connection cannot be establi shed between the digital camera and the communicator . Make sure that the digital ca mera supports the IrTran-P protocol. You can verify this from the manual of your digital camera.
