Unlike CRT monitors, LCD monitors’ image persistence is not permanent, but constant images being displayed for a long period of time should be avoided.

In order to display the maximum resolution, a display controller that can output a resolution of 1920 x 1200 for MD242C2 and 2560 x 1600 for MD302C4 is needed.

English-10 Screen Rotation Before rotating, the screen must be raised to the highest level and tilt to avoid knocking the screen on the desk or pinching your fi ngers. Disconnect all cables. T o raise the screen, place hands on each side of the monitor and lift up to the highest position ( Figure RL.

The Key Guide appears pressing any button when not in the OSD control menu. NO TE: The OSD must be closed in order to change the signal input.
English-13 English SETTING OSD LANGU A GE • Set the OSD language before using OSD functions. • Use the control keys (LEFT/RIGHT or UP/DOWN or EXIT) to access the “LANGUAGE SELECTION” menu. • Press the LEFT/RIGHT or UP/DOWN buttons to select the desired OSD language.
English-14 A UT O FINE (Analog input only)* This function automatically and periodically adjusts the “FINE” setting for change in signal condition. This function adjusts approximately every 33 minutes. EXP ANSION Sets the zoom method. FULL: The image is expanded to full screen regardless of the resolution.
English-15 English USB SELECTION Change USB upstream input associated with the current display input, 1 or 2. When connecting a computer to each of the upstream ports, the monitor's USB downstream ports can be used by selecting this setting for the current input signal.
English-16 OSD LOCK OUT This control completely locks out access to all OSD control functions. When attempting to activate OSD controls while in the Lock Out mode, a screen will appear indicating the OSD controls are locked out.
English-17 English Using the PICTURE MODE function Choose the Picture mode which is the most suitable for the type of displayed content. These are the available modes: MEDICAL, Gamma 2.2 and PROGRAMMABLE1. • Each PICTURE MODE includes PRESET , LUMINANCE, WHITE, Color Gamut (RED, GREEN, BLUE), GAMMA, BLACK, UNIFORMITY , AMB.
English-18 Quic k screen QA test function Allows the monitor to display an internal test pattern similar to AAPM TG18-QC, without using an external signal source. A quick overall visual evaluation as well as an inspection of the gray levels according to DICOM is available with this built-in method.
English-19 English Ad v anced OSD <How to use the ad vanced OSD> • When both OSD and Key Guide are off, push the “RESET” and “EXIT” buttons two times simultaneously . • Y ou will see the Advanced OSD. This menu is larger than the normal OSD.
English-20 RED GREEN BLUE Adjusts color gamut. When the selected settings are outside of the LCD gamut, the indicator on the OSD will turn magenta. UNIFORMITY* 1 This function electronically compensates the slight variations in the white uniformity level that may occur across the display area of the screen.
English-21 English DIGIT AL LONG CABLE* 2 (DVI/HDMI input only) Compensates for image degradation caused by using a long cable. A lower number produces less compensation. DIGIT AL LONG CABLE* 2 (DP/Mini-DP input only) Compensates for disturbed image caused by using a long DisplayPort cable.
English-22 AUTO BLACK LEVEL* , * 1 (Analog input only) Automatically adjusts the black level. Any adjustment requires the image to have black portions. Press “SELECT” to activate AUTO ADJUST . BLACK LEVEL* (Analog input only) Adjusts the RGB black level by input signal level.
English-23 English OVER SCAN (HDMI INPUT ONL Y) Some video formats may require different scanning modes in order to best display the image. ON: Image size is larger than what can be displayed. The image edge will appear cropped. Approximately 95% of the image will be shown on the screen.

English-29 English T r oubleshooting No Picture • The signal cable should be completely connected to the display controller/computer . • The display controller should be completely seated in its slot. • The monitor does not support a DisplayPort converter signal.
English-30 ST AND-ALONE CALIBRA TION Stand alone calibration can recalibrate the display without using a computer by the integrated front sensor or connecting an external sensor . There are 4 (MD242C2) or 5 (MD302C4) functions in ST AND-ALONE CALIBRA TION.
English-31 English Self Calibration Calibrates the integrated front sensor based on the USB color sensor* 1 . Or to manually adjust the integrated front sensor with an external near range color analyzer reference, which is traceable to a primary standards laboratory .
