NEC VERSA E3100 Disassembly Manual Page 6 Removing the Battery Perform the following steps to remove t he battery: 1. Make sure to power off the VERSA E3100 2. Turn the unit upside down. 3. Unlock the battery and slide it out of its place as the arrow shows in Fig.

Disconnect Fan connectio n and remove the CPU Heat sink screws in de scending order (5 Æ 4 Æ 3 Æ 2 Æ 1 ), then lift up the CPU heat sink + Fan as shown in Fig.
