9 PROTECTING YOURSELF WHILE ON TH E PREMISES Easy Exit (Optional - Easy Exit programmed? YES NO ) Your system may have been programmed fo r Easy E xit, which a llows a user to exit the premises while the system is armed.
10 Disarming the System 1 Enter your premises thro ugh the Entr y/Exit door. The keypad will sound a steady or pulsing tone to re mind you to d isarm the system b efore your E ntry Delay time expi res. 2 Enter you r User Code and press D . The red ARMED light w ill go out, indicating th at the system ha s been disarmed.
11 FIRE PROTECTION (Applicable only where local ordinance permits use of this alarm contro l panel for fire protection.) Fire -Zone Alarm If a fire is detected, “FIRE ALARM” w ill be displayed and the keypad sounder will pulse.
12 FIRE PROTECTION Preparing a Fire Escape Plan Even with the most advanced fire alarm system, adequat e protection requires an escape pl an. To prepare your plan, draw floor plans of your building. (Space is provided on the next page). Show two exits - a front or back door and a window from each room.

14 FIRE PROTECTION Although a fi re alarm syste m may be of a reliable and state-of- the-art design, neither it nor its peripheral detection dev ices can offer guaranteed protection against fire.
15 KEYPAD FUNCTIONS The keypad can provide access to a wide assortment of utility f unctions. The functions are di splayed in a prompting “YES/NO” fo rmat. 1 To enter the F unction M enu, pre ss A . • In all UL-list ed or high-security installations, a valid User Code must first be entered followed by A .
16 Acti vate Bell Test ? Activate s the alarm (while disarmed) for about 2 seconds and performs a battery test. If the alarm does not sound, call for service. • If the ba ttery is low, a “LO W B ATTERY E 02- 00 SERVICE” w ill appear in the display indicating a low battery condition.

18 KEYPAD FUNCTIONS Activate T elephone Test? (Telephone T est pr ogrammed? YES NO). Sends a communicator test to the ce ntral station. A communicatio n failure w ill be indicated at the key pad by a sy stem trouble “E03-F AIL TO COMM” display.
19 KEYPAD FUNCTIONS Activate Pr ogram? Activates the Program Mode from Keyp ad No. 1. Note: This feature is disabled while armed. (See PROGRAMMING USER CODES) Activate D ownload? For installer's use only . If accidentally enabled, press C to exit.

22 PROGRAMMING (OPTION AL) Enter t he User P rogram Mode 1. Enter y our User Code, the n press A to enter the Fun ction Mode. 2. Answer NO until “ ACTIVATE PROGRA M Y/N” is displa yed, then press YES. “ENT ER U SER CODE” wil l display indicating that the system is ready for User Code p rogramming.
23 PROGRAMMING (OPTION AL) Reviewing a Programmed U ser Code To review an existin g User Cod e, enter the user nu mber and the corres ponding User Code will display . Exit ing the User Program M ode When you ha ve completed programming or erasing User Codes, press C to exit the User Program Mode .

27 KEYPAD MESS A G ES The keypad can display the following functional messages. Other diagnostic messages are available for the installer or servicer. Should any unfamiliar messag es appear, call your dealer for service. All zones opera ting; system can be armed.
28 KEYPAD MESS A G ES Alarm condition, fol lowed by zone description(s). “ALARM” and zones will display after system is disarmed. Note zones, then press C to clear keypad. (With pulsi ng sounder.) Trouble con dition on a Fire Zone. Press C to silence sounder.
29 KEYPAD MESS A G ES The system is in the process of reporting a cancel signal to central station which will cancel the alarm which it has just reported. The alarm s ignal has been c ancelled during the Abort Delay (before a n alarm signal report was sent to the central st ation).
30 GLOSSARY Following are brief descriptions of terms and features used herein that may be unfami liar to you. Some of the features are programmable options that may or may not appl y to your particula r system. Abort De lay - A delay period that allows the control panel to be reset, thus aborting a report to a central station.
31 GLOSSARY Exit/Entry Delay s - S eparate delays that let you exit and enter your premises without setting off an alarm wh en the sy stem is armed . INTERIOR Button - Bypass es Interior Zones on arming (see Zones - Interior Zones). Instant Protection - Arming without entry delay using the F button while remaining on the premises.
32 GLOSSARY User Code - Yo ur per sonali zed code for a rming and dis armin g the syste m . It may contai n up to six di gits. Zones - Independent circuits that protect specific areas of the premises: Auto-Bypass Zone : A zone that will be automatically bypassed from the protection syste m if it is in trouble (faulty ) when the system is armed.
33 SYSTEM TROUBLE ERROR CODES Your control panel is capable of detecting a variety of troubles that may affect system performance. In the unlikely event that a problem should occur, the SYS TBL (system trouble) i c on will displa y on the left s ide of keypad wi ndow along with one or more o f the following error codes.

38 TROUBLESHOOTING What do I do if... For more info... I try to arm m y system but the keypad just displays “ZONES NOT NO RMAL” and “CAN’T ARM SYSTEM” and beeps at me. If the green STATUS light is off, a zone is open. Find and secure the open window or door.
