8 P IPE W ORK : Copper tubing to BS EN 1057:1996 is recommended f or water pipes . Jointing should be either with capillar y soldered or compression fittings. Where possible pipes should ha v e a gradient to ensure air is carried naturally to air release points and water flo ws naturally to dr ain taps.

In addition, it is also possible to use a split (twin pipe) system by fitting a special adaptor to the flue connector and using the aper ture for the air v ent intak e located on the top par t of the combustion chamber .

12 T o connect a room ther mostat, it is necessar y to: 1. - Open the control panel as indicated in section 3.3. 2.- Remove the link “ A ” from the terminal bloc k on the re v erse of the control panel. 3. - Insert the ther mostat cable through the cab le grommet and f asten it b y means of the cable-clamp pro vided.

In order to access the inside of the boiler , it is necessary to unscrew the f astening screws “ A ” of the control panel located on the lo wer par t of the panel itself . The control panel mov es downw ard and when pulled f orward rotates on two lateral hinges .
17 3.4. I NITIAL S TA R T - UP (See section 3.2 f or ref erences) it is possible to: - Set the temper ature of the heating system by adjusting the knob “ C ” - Set the temper ature of the domestic.
The boiler is fitted with the f ollowing de vices (see section 3.2 f or ref erences). 1 - I GNITION F AILURE : This control signals an ignition f ailure on the burner 7 seconds after a lighting f ailure. The L.E.D . “ F ” will illuminate to signal the shutdo wn status.
19 D RAINING THE H EA TING S YSTEM The heating system must be emptied as f ollows: - T urn off the boiler ; - Open the drain valv e f or the system and place a container belo w to catch the water that comes out; - Empty the system at the lowest points (where present).
20 The boiler can be con verted to use either methane (natural) gas (G20) or LPG (G30 - G31) by an A uthorised Service Centre. The operations that must be perf ormed are the follo wing: 1 . Replace the jets on the main burner (see table in section 4); 2.
21 It is recommended that the follo wing inspections be carried out on the boiler at least once a year: 1 - Check the seals f or the w ater connections; replacement of any f aulty seals. 2 - Check the gas seals; replacement of any f aulty gas seals . 3 - Visual check of the entire unit.
