18 Main circuit terminals 1.2.8 Rega rding noise and the insta llation of a noise filter Some noise enters the inverter c ausing it to malfunction and others are gener ated by the inverter causing the malfunction of peripheral devices.
19 Main circu it terminals 1 WIRING 1.2.9 Grounding precautions Leakage currents flow in the inv erter. T o prevent an electric shock, the inverter and motor must be grounded. Grounding must conform to the requirements of national and local safety regulat ions and electrical codes.
20 Main circuit terminals 1.2. 10 Powe r supply harmonics The inverter may generate power supply harmoni cs from its converter circuit to af fect the power generator , power capacitor etc. Power s upply harmonics are different from noise and leakage currents in sourc e, frequency band and transmission path.
21 Main circu it terminals 1 WIRING 1.2.1 1 Inverter- driven 400V cl ass motor In the PWM type inverter , a surge voltage attributable to wiring const ants is generated at the motor terminals . Especially for a 400V class motor , the surge volt age may deteriorate the insu lation.

T o change the control logic, the jumper connector under the setting dial must be moved to the other position. 24 How to u se the co ntrol circuit termi nals 2) Source logic ty pe • In this logic, a signal switches on w hen a current flows i nto the corresponding signal input terminal. T erminal PC is common to the contact input si gnals. For the open collector output signals, terminal SE is a positive external power supply terminal.
