Overv iew 2 Scanner Mo de 2-1 2O v e r v i e w Paper docu ments ca n easily be converted to electroni c data and us ed, for exampl e, with ele ctronic fili ng. Scanne d image d ata (scan da ta) can be sent to other c omputers through a network as eithe r a TIFF file or a PDF file.

In order to transmit the fax documen t by e-mail, a ne twork enviro nment that inc ludes a mai l server is required.
