W arning and Safety instructions 7 This tumble dr yer can only be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, if they are supervised whilst using it or have been shown how to use it in a safe way and understand and r ecognise the consequences of incorrect oper ation.
W arning and Safety instructions 8 The ele ctrical safety of this tumble dryer can only be guarant eed when correctly earthed. It is essential that this standar d safety requir ement is met. If in any doubt, please have the household wiring system t ested by a qualified electrician.
W arning and Safety instructions 9 This tumble dr yer must not be used in a non-stationary location (e.g. on a ship). Do not mak e any alter ations to the tumble dryer , unless authorised to do so by Miele.
W arning and Safety instructions 10 Please obser ve the instructions in "Installation and connection" and the "T echnical data". The acc essibility of the plug must always be ensured, in or der to disconnect the tumble dryer from the mains.
W arning and Safety instructions 11 T o prevent the risk of fir e, the following te xtiles must not be dried in this tumble dryer: – Items which have not been washed. – Items, such as workwear , which have no t been thor oughly cle aned and which are still soiled with gr ease, oil or other deposits (such as cosmetics, lotions etc).
W arning and Safety instructions 12 Remove all items fr om pockets (e.g. lighters, matches). W arning: Do not switch the dryer off before the drying progr amme has finished. If this is done, the laundr y must be hung up or spread out t o cool it down.
W arning and Safety instructions 13 In many pr ogr ammes, the heating phase is followed by a cooling down phase to ensur e that the items ar e not too hot to handle when you remove them (this also avoids the danger of the laundry self- igniting). The progr amme is not finished until the cooling down phase has been completed.
W arning and Safety instructions 14 If the water is dr ained ext ernally through the dr ain hose instead of being collected in the condensed wat er container , make sure the dr ain hose is securely attached if you hang it in a sink or basin to avoid the hose slipping and the water causing damage.
W arning and Safety instructions 15 Using a fragr ance flacon (optional accessor y) Only use genu ine Miele original fr agrance flacons. The fr agr ance flacon must be stored in its packaging so please make sur e you retain this. Caution. The fr agr ance can leak out of the flacon.
W arning and Safety instructions 16 Accessories Only use genui ne Miele original spare parts and accessories with this appliance. If non-Miele parts are used, guar antee, performance and product liability claims will be invalidat ed. The tumble dr yer can be combined with a Miele washing machine in a washer -dryer stack.

Operating the tumble dryer 18 Display , OK, sensors These sensors are used t o operate the display when the symbols light up. – sensor Scr olls down the list to the ne xt option or decreases a value. – OK sensor Confirms the progr amme selected, a value set or opens a sub-menu.

Before using for the first time 20 Removing the protective foil and stick ers Remove – the prot ective foil from the door . – any stickers from the fr ont and the lid. Please do not r emove any labels (e.g. the data plate), visible when you open the door .
EcoF eedback 21 Y ou can use the EcoF eedback sensor t o call up information about the energy consumption of your dryer . T ouching the EcoF eedback sensor will call up two types of information: – an estimate of the consumption before the pr ogramme begins – the energy consumption during the progr amme.
1. Notes on correct laundry care 22 P oints to note regarding washed laund ry – When washing very heavily soiled it ems ensure that you use sufficient deter gent and select a high temper ature. If in doubt, wash the items sever al times. – Do not put soaking wet items into the tumble dr yer .

2. L oad the tumble dr yer 24 It is essential to read "1. Notes on correct laundry care" first of all. P ress the button to switch the dryer on. The interior drum lighting will come on. The interior drum lighting will aut omatically go out after a few minutes and/or after the start of a progr amme to save ener gy .
3. Select a progr amme and start it 25 Select a progr amme T urn the progr amme selector . Different pr ogrammes and setting options will light up in the display, depending on the position of the pr ogramme select or .
3. Select a progr amme and start it 26 Progr ammes with drying levels – Cot tons, Minimum iron, Delicates, Denim, Shirts, Express, Gentle smoothing, Steam smoothing, Automatic plus, Sportswear , Outerwear The drying level can be altered aft er selecti ng one of these progr ammes.
3. Select a progr amme and start it 27 Select any options or delay star t (if required) Options P ress a butt on. The button will light up when the option i s selected. An option can only be selected when the load indication has gone out in the d isplay .
4. Remove the laundry 28 End of progr amme/Anti-crease At the end of the pr ogramme: Anti- crease/Finish ( if anti-crease has been selected) or Finish will light up.
Options 29 The options are switched on or off by pressing the appr opriate button. Not all options can be combined or can be selected/deselected The button will light up when the option is select ed. Gentle tumble Delicate fabric (with the symbol on the care label, e.

Delay start 31 T o select delay start With delay start you can delay the start of the pr ogramme by up t o a maximum of 24 hours. Aft er selecting the progr amme, press the Delay start button. The following will light up in the display: Start in h 00 : 00 The sen sor will increase the duration by 1 hour up t o 24 hours.

Pr ogramme chart 36 Proofing Max. load 2.5 kg* Normal Use for Drying microfibr e fabric, skiwear , outerwear , fine, closeweave cotton garments (poplin) or tablecloths which are suitable for drying in a tumble dryer and have been treated t o provide a water and dirt resistant finish.

Changing the progr amme sequence 38 Y ou cannot change to another pr ogramme once a pr ogramme has started (this pr events unintentional alter ations). If you move the progr amme selector , Change not possible will light up in the display until yo u move the progr amme selector back to the original progr amme.
Cleaning and care 39 Emptying the condensed water container The condensed water is collected in the condensed wat er container . Empty the condensed water contai ner after every drying progr amme. Empty container will light up if the maximum level of the condensed water container is reached.
Cleaning and care 40 Pr eparing the condensed wat er container for Steam smoothing Con densed water which has collected in the condensed water container is direct ed into the drum in the Steam smoothing p rogr amme. The condensed water container must therefor e be filled with water up to at least the –min– marker .
Cleaning and care 41 Fluff filters This tumble dryer has 2 fluff filters in the door opening: the upper and lower fluff filt ers trap fluff produced during the drying process. Removing visible fluff Remove any fluff after every drying cycle. Tip: Y ou can also use a vacuum cleaner so that you can remove the fluff without touching it.
Cleaning and care 42 Cleaning the fluff filters and air flow openi ngs thoroughly If the drying duration has become lo nger or the surface of the filters is visibly compacted with fluff, you should carry out the following cleaning procedur e. If using a fr agrance flacon make sure you r emove it beforehand.
Cleaning and care 43 Plinth filter Only clean the plinth filter when Cl ean out airways lights up. T o delete Cl ean out airways : Switch the dryer off and back on again / confirm OK . Removing the plinth filter P ress the r ound, indented area on the heat ex changer access panel to open it.
Cleaning and care 44 Cleaning the plinth filter panel Use a damp cloth t o remove any fluff. Make sure that you do not damage the rubber seal when doing this. Che ck whether the cooling fins are blocked with fluff (as follows). Checking the condenser unit Danger of injury .
Cleaning and care 45 Replacing the plinth filter Fi t the filter back on the handle. Make sure it is the corr ect way round. T o ensure that the filt er is positioned corr ectly in the front of the heat ex changer unit: Fi rst insert the handle with the plinth filter attached over the two guide pins.
Cleaning and care 46 T umble dryer Disconn ect the tumble dryer from the mains electricity supply . Do not use solven ts, abr asive cleaners, glass cleaners or all- purpose cleaners.
F ragrance flacon 47 Using a fragr ance flacon (optional accesso ry) will add a pleasant fragr ance to your laundry . Befor e using a fragr ance flacon, please read "W arning and safety instructions - Using a fragr ance flacon (optional accessory)".
F ragr ance flacon 48 Markers and must line up with on e another . T urn the outer ring clockwise a little. – Y ou will feel a slight r esistance and hear a soft click. Marker must be in position : this is the position at which you can feel a r esistance.
F ragrance flacon 49 Damp laundry and longer drying dur ations with sufficient heat transfer are needed for the fr agrance t o be released int o the laundry effectively . The fragr ance will also be noticeable in the room air during the pr ocess. F ragrance is not r eleased when using the Cool air pr ogramme.
F ragr ance flacon 50 Never lay the fr agrance flacon down on any surface as the fragr ance will leak. Only store the fr agrance flacon in its original packaging – when storing the fr agrance flacon in its original packaging whilst you are not using it, e.
Pr oblem solving guide 51 With the help of the following notes minor faults in the performance of the appliance, some of which may result fr om incorrect oper ation, can be put right without contacting the Service Department.

Pr oblem solving guide 53 Problem Cause and remedy Comfort cooling The progr amme has finished but the laundry has not yet cooled down. Either r emove the laundry and spread it out to cool down or leave it in the tumble dryer to cool down during the cooling phase.
Pr oblem solving guide 54 Unsatisfactory dr ying results Problem Cause and remedy The laundry is not sufficiently dry The load consisted of differ ent types of fabric. Fini sh drying using the Warm air timed drying progr amme. Select a differ ent progr amme next time.
Pr oblem solving guide 55 Other problems Problem Cause and remedy The drying process goes on too long or even switches off * The room in which the dryer is located is t oo warm. V entilate the r oom thoroughly . Deter gent residues, hair and fine fluff can clog the filt ers.
Pr oblem solving guide 56 Problem Cause and remedy There are humming noises This is not a fault. The compressor (heat pump) is oper ating or you have selec ted the St eam smoothing programme. No actio n is requir ed. These noises are quite normal and can be heard when the compr essor or the condensed water pump is oper ating.
Pr oblem solving guide 57 Bottom right grille I n general, the cooling fins behind the grille on the bottom right do not need cleaning. They should only be cleaned if the drying process is taking an ex ceptionally long time due to a very high level of dust or fluff in the room in which the dryer is located.
Pr oblem solving guide 58 Fluff filter in the condensed wat er container If you are e xperiencing problems running the Steam smoothing pr ogramme, the fluff filt er at the end of the hose which is connected to the rubber seal in the condensed water container could be blocked.
Pr oblem solving guide 59 Steam smoothing spr ay jet Limescale deposits will impair the spr ay jet. In this case, the spray jet must be r emoved and replaced with a new one (see "Optional accessories"). The spray jet can only be r eplaced using the special tool supplied with the new spray jet.

Installation and connection 66 Arranging the dr ain hose Do not pull on the dr ain hose and do not stretch it or allow it t o become kinked. This could damage the hose. There will be a small amount of r esidual wat er left in the drain hose. Have a container ready t o collect this.
