2 Display The display panel shows machine status , error messages, and function menus. The function item s displayed serve as selector keys. You can select or specify an item by lightly pressi ng them. When you select or specify an item on the display panel, it is highlighted like .

7 1. Connecting the Machine Connect the machine to the network to configure network environment. Connecting to the Interfaces This section explain s how to check the machine’s inter face, connect th e machine according to the network environment, and specify the networ k settings.
Connecting the Machine 8 1 Connecting to the Ethernet Interface Connect 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX cable to the Ethernet interface. Important ❒ If the main power switch is turned "On", turn it "Off". A Make sure the main power swit ch on the machine is "Off".
Connecting to the Interfaces 9 1 Connecting with the USB Interface Make the connect ion with the US B 2.0 interface. A Connect the USB 2.0 interface cable to the USB2.0 port. B Connect the other end to the USB port on the host computer. Note ❒ Purchase a USB cable separately according to a personal computer i n use.

System Settings 44 2 ❖ Warm–up Beeper (copie r/Document Server) You can have the beeper sound when th e machine b ecomes ready to copy af- ter leaving Energy Sa ver mode, or when the power is turned on.
General Features 45 2 ❖ Interleave Print You can set the timing for functions to switch when [ Print Priority ] has been set to [ Interleave ] . Default: 10 sheets Depending on printing time , set values may change. The timing for functions can be set from 1 to 20 sheets.

When [ On ] or [ High Security ] is selected for the authentication set ting, use the administrator account name and passwor d. 89 3. Tray Paper Settings This section describe s various item s of { Tray Paper Settings } available in this ma- chine. If the specified paper size dif fers from the actual size of the paper loaded in the paper tray, a misfeed might occur because the correct paper size was not detected.
