2 Impor tant Safety Instructions To reduce risk of fire, electric shock, serious injury or death when using your refrigerator , follow the se basic precautions, including the following: 1. Read all instructions before using the refrigerator . 2. Observe all local code s and ordinance s.
3 Installation Y our refrigerator was packed c arefully for shipment. Remove and discard shelf packaging and t ape. Do not remove the serial plate. Measuring the Opening W hen installing your refrigerator , measure c arefully . One-half inch (1.3 cm) of air space should be provided for the top and back of the refrigerator .
F or pullout dr awer only: 1. T urn both st abilizing legs clockwise until firmly against floor . T urn roller adjustment screws 2 to 3 times counterclockwise so that the full weight of refrigerator rest s on st abilizing legs. 2. Replace toe grille and bracket cover(s).
5 Installation 3. L oc ate handle trim in literature pack and install over top and bottom of handle, as illustrated. • Secure top handle trim with remaining screw removed in step 1. • Snap bottom trim over bottom portion of handle. To Remove: 1. Remove top handle trim by removing top handle screw.
6 Installation 6. Align bottom of handle with lower door tab. Press upper handle end to door surface and firmly grasp lower end of handle. Gently slide handle upward until bottom of handle settles on door sur face, then reverse direction, sliding downward to almost engaging tab with clip.
Installation 7 To Remove: 1. At the right end, flex the handle base away from the surface of the freezer drawer. Simultaneously slide the door handle removal card that c ame with your refrigerator under the right side base of the handle. Slide the card to the line indic ation or until it stops.

9 Fr esh Food Featur es Shelv es Y our refrigerator has either Spill-Catcher™ or non- sealed Shelves . T he Spill-Catcher™ shelve s have a spill retainer edge which allows for easier clean up and some are equipped with the Easy Glide slide out feature.
10 Fr esh Food Featur es The Crisper T op serves as the lower fre sh food shelf . To Remove the Crisper T op: • Remove crisper drawers as indicated on page 11. • Place hand under the frame to push up the glass. Lift glass out. •L ift frame from refrigerator liner rails.
11 Fr esh Food Featur es Humidity-Contr olled Crisper Draw ers The Crisper Draw ers provide a higher humidity environment for fresh fruit and veget able storage. Controls The Crisper Controls regulate the amount of humidity in the crisper drawer . Slide the control towards the fruit setting when storing produce with outer skins.
12 Fr eezer Featur es Accessories (select models) Ice Cube T ray The Ice Cube T ray provides an area to freeze cubes for manual dispensing of ice. To release ice cube s from tray , hold tray upside down over a storage container and twist both ends of tray until cubes release.
13 Food S tor age Tips Fr esh F ood Stor age •T he fre sh food compar tment of a refrigerator should be kept between 1°- 4° C with an optimum temperature of 3° C. T o check the temperature, place an appliance thermometer in a glass of water and place in the center of the refrigerator .
14 Car e and Cleaning To avoid electric al shock which can c ause severe personal injury or death, disconnect power to refrigerator before cleaning. After cleaning, connect power . W ARNING To avoid personal injury or property damage, observe the following: • Read and follow manufacturer’s directions for all cleaning products.
15 Car e and Cleaning Removing Odors F r om Refriger ator 1. Remove all food and turn the refrigerator OF F . 2. Disconnect power to the refrigerator . 3. Clean the walls, floor , ceiling of c abinet interior , drawers, shelves and gasket s according to the instructions on page 14.

After replacing light bulb, reconnect power . W ARNING To avoid personal injury or proper ty damage, observe the following: • Allow light bulb to cool.
17 Car e and Cleaning Upon y our return: After a short vacation or absence: F or models with automatic ice makers: • Reconnect the water supply and turn on supply valve. • Monitor water connection for 24 hours and correct leaks if necess ary . •R esta rt the ice maker .
