Pla ying Discs 5 30 Using r epeat pla y Y ou can set the play er to r epeat individual tracks on CDs or V ideo- CDs, chapt ers/tr acks or titles/group on D VD discs, or the whole disc.
5 Pla ying Discs 31 English Bookmarking a place in a disc (LAS T MEMOR Y) If y ou wa tch only part of a D VD Video disc with the int ention of picking up lat er where y ou left off, y ou can bookmark the place then r esume pla yback at a lat er dat e without having t o manually sear ch for the right place.
Pla ying Discs 5 32 Memorizing disc set tings (CONDITION MEMOR Y) If you ha ve a par ticular set of prefer ences for a disc, you can memorize them using the Condition Memory function. Once memorized, your set tings will be recalled aut omatically whenev er you load that disc.

6 Pla ying MP3s 35 English Pla ying MP3s This pla yer can pla y MP3 files on a CD-R OM disc. MP3 is a popular audio format on comput ers and the Int ernet because file sizes ar e small (compar ed t o uncompre ssed CD audio), while the sound qualit y r emains surprisingly good.

If the language you specify her e is recor ded on a disc, the sy st em aut omatically pla ys the disc with those subtitle s (although this depends on the Aut o Language se t ting—see page 5 4 ).
D VD Setup Menu 7 54 Aut o Language • Default Set ting: On When set t o On , the pla y er alwa y s selects the default audio language on a D VD disc (Fr ench dialog for a Fr ench movie, for e xample), and displa y s subtitles in y our preferr ed subtitle language only if tha t is set t o something differ ent.
