3 Electrical Safety 4. Double insulated tools are equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other .) This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one wa y . If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, re verse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified elec- trician to install a polarized outlet.

7 Speed change T wo speed ranges can be preselected with the speed change le ver . T o change the speed, tur n the speed change le ver to the position 1 fo r low speed or the position 2 for high speed. If the speed change le ver does not turn easily , tur n the chuck slightly in either direction and turn the lev er again.

Installing side grip (auxiliary handle) Alwa ys use the side grip to ensure operating safe ty . Install the side grip so that the teeth on the grip fit in between the protrusions (A) on the tool barrel.
9 Depth gauge The depth gauge is conv enient for drilling holes of unif or m depth. Loosen the side grip and inser t the depth gauge into the hole in the side grip . Adjust the depth gauge to the desired depth and tighten the side grip . NO TE: • The depth gauge cannot be used at the position where the depth gauge strikes against the tool body .
10 Blow-out b ulb (optional accessor y) After drilling the hole, use the blo w-out bulb to clean the dust out of the hole. Drilling operation CA UTION: • Pressing e xcessively on the tool will not speed up the drilling.
11 MAINTENANCE CA UTION: • Alwa ys be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged bef ore attempting to perform inspection or maintenance. Cleaning vent holes The tool and its air vents ha ve to be k ept clean. Regular ly clean the tool ’ s air vents or whene v er the vents star t to become obstructed.
