8 Installing or removing wheel guar d CA UTION: • When using a depressed center grinding wheel/Multi- disc, fle x wheel or wire wheel brush, the wheel guard must be fitted on the tool so that the closed side of the guard alwa ys points toward the oper ator.
9 Installing or removing fle x wheel (optional accessory) W ARNING: • Alwa ys use supplied guard when flex wheel is on tool. Wheel can shatter during use and guard helps to reduce chances of personal injur y . F ollow instructions for depressed center grinding wheel/ Multi-disc but also use plastic pad o ver wheel.
10 CA UTION: • After operation, alwa ys s witch off the tool and wait until the wheel has come to a complete stop befo re putting the tool down. Grinding and sanding operation AL W A YS hold the tool fir mly with one hand on rear handle and the other on the side handle.
11 Operation with wire wheel brush (optional accessory) CA UTION: • Check oper ation of wire wheel br ush b y r unning tool with no load, insuring that no one is in front of or in line with the wire wheel brush. • Do not use wire wheel brush that is damaged, or which is out of balance.
12 Use a screwdriv er to remove the brush holder caps. T ake out the worn carbon br ushes , inser t the new ones and secure the brush holder caps. T o maintain product SAFETY and RELIABILITY , repairs.
