7 Speed adjusting dial The rotating speed can be changed by turning the speed adjusting dial to a given n umber setting from 1 to 5. Higher speed is obtained when the dial is turned in the direc- tion of number 5. And low er speed is obtained when it is turned in the direction of number 1.
8 Removing head co ver When use as a grinder , remov e the head cover . Loosen the screws and pull off the head co ver while pulling out its cor- ners. Installing side grip (handle) CA UTION: • Alwa ys be sure that the side grip is installed securely bef ore operation.
9 T o remove wheel guard, f ollow the installation procedure in re verse. Installing or removing depressed center grinding wheel/Multi-disc (optional accessory) W ARNING: • Alwa ys use supplied guard when depressed center grinding wheel/Multi-disc is on tool.
10 OPERA TION W ARNING: • It should ne ver be necessar y to f orce the tool. The weight of the tool applies adequate pressure. F orcing and e xcessive pressure could cause dangerous wheel breakage. • AL W A YS replace wheel if tool is dropped while grinding.
11 Operation with wire cup brush (optional accessory) CA UTION: • Check oper ation of br ush b y r unning tool with no load, insuring that no one is in front of or in line with br ush. • Do not use brush that is damaged, or which is out of balance.
12 Operation with abrasive cut-off wheel (optional accessory) W ARNING: • When using an abrasiv e cut-off wheel, be sure to use only the special wheel guard designed fo r use with cut- off wheels. • NEVER use cut-off wheel f or side gr inding. During cutting operations, ne ver change the angle of the wheel.
