Why Monitor Y our Blood Pressure at Home? Many people e xperience “White Coat Syndrome”, which is a temporary elev ation of blood pressure during a visit at their physician’ s office. Although only temporar y , it can cause blood pressure to rise and give a f alse indication of a person’ s true blood pressure.
