Dear Customer , Linn ’ s KLIMAX K ONTROL is a two-channel preamplifier designed for use in high performance multi-amplifier and multi-channel audio and audio/video systems.
Unpacking The KLIMAX K ONTROL is supplied with the following accessories: ■ mains lead ■ handset ■ silver interc onnects ■ warranty ca rd ■ this manual W e recommend that you retain all packaging in case you need to tr anspor t the unit at a later date.

The KLIMAX K ONTROL needs to be configured for all sour ces it is connected to . Source setup allows you to tell the KLIMAX K ONTROL which of the back panel inputs a source is connected to , the t ype of source connected and allows you to c onfigure each source setup to suit your r equirements.
9 Sourc e Setup 4 Change the sourc e type Select the source type to match the name of the key on the handset you wish to use. Y ou can selec t a source type more than once if you ha ve more than one device of the same type (e.g . two CD players) connected to the KLIMAX KONTROL.
6 Change the volume off set for the source V olume offset is for adjusting the v olume of a source in comparison to other sour ces. Y ou may want to adjust the volume offset f or a source if , for example , your tuner sounds quieter than your CD play er when played at the same v olume setting.
8 Change the unity gain for the source The unity gain setting lets you use the KLIMAX K ONTROL in a multi-channel A V system. If you are setting up an A V processor as one of your sources and the front speakers are going to be channelled through the KLIMAX K ONTROL, set unity gain to Y es.
This section provides general operating instructions for the KLIMAX K ONTROL. Standby mode T o exit or enter standby mode: ■ Press ST ANDBY . Source selection Handset T o switch source: ■ Press the key f or the appropriate source (e .
The product lock prevents an y changes being made to the KLIMAX KONTROL (ent ering standby , changing the volume or source et c) while it is powered up (i.e . when it is not in standby mode). Note: T o turn the product lock on, the unit must be powered up.
