2 Pr oduc t O ver view Linksys WES610N/WET610N 2 Thank you for choosing the Linksys Dual-Band N Entertainment Bridge. The bridge can connec t any wired, Ethernet device to your wireless network . The bridge is based on dual-band Wir eless-N, so it is compatible with any Wir eless-N, - G, -A, or -B router or access point.
3 Pr oduc t O ver view Linksys WES610N/WET610N P or ts panel WES610N WET610N Ethernet The Ethernet port(s) connects the bridge to a computer or other Ethernet net work device. The WES610N has f our por ts, and the WET610N has a single port. Reset There are two ways to reset the bridge’ s factor y defaults.

7 Advanc ed Configura tion Linksys WES610N/WET610N Setup > Basic Setup The first screen that appears is the Basic Setup scr een. Use this screen to change the brow ser-based utility ’ s language, or to change the bridge ’ s wired, Ethernet network settings.
8 Advanc ed Configura tion Linksys WES610N/WET610N Basic Wir eless S ettings Network Name (SSID) The SSID is the network name shared among all points in a wir eless network. The SSID must be identical for all devices in the wireless network. I t is case -sensitive and must not exceed 32 characters (use any characters on the keyboard).
9 Advanc ed Configura tion Linksys WES610N/WET610N Passphr ase Enter the key shared by the br idge and wireless router or access point. It must have 8-63 characters. Click S ave Settings to apply your changes, or click Cancel Changes to cancel your changes.
10 Advanc ed Configura tion Linksys WES610N/WET610N Method #2 Use this method if your r outer requests the PIN number of the bridge. 1. On the router’ s Wi-Fi Protected Setup screen, enter the PIN number on the bridge ’ s Wi-F i Pr otected Setup screen.
11 Advanc ed Configura tion Linksys WES610N/WET610N WP A2 Network Name (SSID) The name of the network y ou selected is automatically displayed . Security Mode WP A2 P ersonal is automatically displayed. Encryption WP A2 suppor ts t wo encr yption methods, TKIP and AES, with dynamic encryption keys.
12 Advanc ed Configura tion Linksys WES610N/WET610N WMM Ac cess Mode Y ou can assign differen t settings to the four access modes available . Selec t the mode you want to configure: Background , Best E ffort , V ideo , or V oice . Follo w the instructions for the mode you select.
13 Advanc ed Configura tion Linksys WES610N/WET610N Max. Aggrega tion Size This option defines the maximum size of the aggregat e (in bytes). The range is 0 to 16000 .

17 T roubleshooting Linksys WES610N/WET610N 17 WES610N/WET610N Y our computer or other wired, Ethernet device cannot c ommunicat e with the wireless router . 1. Access the bridge ’ s browser -based utility . 2. On the Basic Wireless S ettings screen, make sure the Net work Name (SSID ) matches the name of your wir eless network.
