1 1 Chapter 2. System and Ne tw ork Setup The CWR-935M is an easy to carry and wireless device for business men. It can be used in conference room, hotel, eve n at hotspots. CW R-935M is sm all and light, with var ious f unctions; use s witch to change mode between R outer , A P , and W i-Fi AP mode.
12 2.3 Build network connection for Wi-Fi A P Mo de In W i-Fi AP mode, CW R-935M bec omes a bridge; users c an use wireless way to connect to CWR- 935M. Adm inistrator can config L AN, W ireless network, NT P , password, USB drives, user accounts, FTP server , web cam, printer ser ver , and SAMBA, etc.
13 Before you can connect to the router and start configur ation procedures, your computer mus t be able to get an IP address autom aticall y (use dynam ic IP address).

19 2.4.5 Router IP address lookup After the IP address setup i s complete, pl ease click ‘start’ -> ‘run’ at the bottom- lower corner of your desktop: Input ‘cm d’, then click ‘OK’.

22 Chapter 3. One Button Set up Configura tion CWR- 935M provides ‘ One Button Setup ’ function, u sers can f inish settings in a single page. Af ter users switch m odes and reboot the mac hine, they will enter t his page to f inish conf igurations.

It also has NAT and DHCP functions to let multiple com puters us ing network at the same tim e.

38 4.2.6 W ireless Security Setup It’ s very important to set w ireless securit y settings properl y! If you don’t, hack ers and malicious users can reach your networ k and valuable data without your conse nt and this will cause serious security prob lem.

77 5.1.3 Dynamic DNS S etting Dynam ic DNS provides users with DNS service that autom ates the discovery and registration of client's public IP addresses. The DDNS Providers in 3.5G server router are DynDNS ( http://www.d yndns.com ) , TZO ( http://www.
78 5.2 Wireless Setup The categor y includes Basi c Settings , Advanced Sett ings , Securit y , Access Co ntrol , WDS settings , and W PS . Please read below for the setting i nstruction.

84 5.2.3 Wireless Securit y Setup CWR- 935M provides four e ncr yption types; you can se lect here, ple ase follo w below instructio ns for the setting. 1. Encr yption -- WEP Key 1.1 Set W EP Key : This section provides 64bit and 128 bit WEP encryptions for wireless net work.
85 Personal (Pre- Shared Ke y) Pre-Shared Ke y type is ASC II Code; the len gth is bet ween 8 to 63 char acters. If the k ey type is Hex, the key length is 64 charact ers 3. Apply Change & Reset : Click on ‘Apply Changes’ to save setting data.
86 5.2.4 Wireless A cc ess Control The function of access control i s to allow or deny users to access 3.5G server router by according MAC address, it is optional. If you select Allow ed Listed , then only thos e cl ients whos e MAC address is listed o n acces s contr ol c an con nect to your bas e s tation.
87 (2) Y ou will find out th at the MAC address app ears on Current Access Control List , it means th e initiation is com pleted..
88 (3) Please open wireless card UI and try to connect to this router . Y ou will find out that the connectio n request will be d enied. 5.2.5 WDS Settings W ireless basic settings m ust enable W DS first. This function can com municate with other APs by adding MAC ad dress into t he same c hannel.

93 (5) Head back to LAN Inter face , disable DHC P option, and then click Apply Chan ges to save the setting data..
94 (6) The MAC address of the upper level device is goin g to setup lik e the MAC addres s of the router . Enter the upper level devic e’s WDS settings page, an d input router ’s MAC addre ss. Click A ppl y Changes to sav e the settin g data. Please input the MAC add ress of this router .
95 (7) After initiating t he upper level device, p lease check Local Area C onnections. Cl ick Supports to check out the IP address which is ass igned by upper level device. (8) Y ou ca n input htt p://192.168.1.1 in IE browser to enter the GUI page of upper le vel device and mak e sure the connection.
96 5.2.6 WP S W i-Fi P rotected Setup, it can sim plify the procedures of wireless encryption betwee n C W R-935M and wireless net work car d. If the wireless ne twork c ard also supports W PS function, u sers can activate W PS auto-encryption to speed up the proc edures.
97 On the other han d, users need t o input the inf ormation of the wireless card into the regist er interfac e. It might lead to th e failure of connection, if us ers m ake mistakes on inputti ng. On PBC m odel, users only need to cl ick the W PS button on both si des to mak e a connection.
98 (3) Open the conf iguration page of the wire less card which s upports W PS. Click the Wi-Fi Protect Setup , and then c lick PBC to mak e a W PS connection with AP from the W PS AP list (PBC-Scanning AP).
99 (3) Dongle starts W PS process. (3) After f inish WPS conf igure successf ul, W ireless USB D ongle will get network information from CWR- 935M. It means the W PS connection between wireless card and CW R-935M is es tablished.
100 * Start PIN: (1.) Please ope n the config uration page of the wireless card to get a PIN number, and write it do wn. (2) Open the W i-Fi Protecte d Setup conf iguration page of CW R-935M, input the PI N number f rom the W ireless card then click Start PIN .
101 (3) Click O K to starts proce ss. (4) Open the conf iguration page of the wire less card which s upports W PS. Click the PIN to m ake a W PS connection with AP fr om the W PS AP list (PIN-Begi n associating to W PS AP).

105 5.3.2 Visual DMZ It will expose the c omputer which users enable the DM Z settings. All pac kets f rom the Internet will b e forwarding to th is com puter. It is useful f or specific applicat ions, but pleas e be caref ul to establish it. DMZ (Dem ilit arized Zo ne) Host is a zone that is no t lim ited by the firewall ser vice.
