-18- 2) Fuzzy Operation for Dehumidification • According to the setting temperature selected b y Fuzzy rule, when the intake air temp is 0.5 ° C or more below the setting temp , the compressor is tur ned off. When 0.5 ° C or more abov e the setting temp, the compressor is turned on.
-19- ■ Off-Timer Operation • When the set time is reached after the time is input by the remote control, the appliance stops oper ating. • The timer LED is on when the off-timer is input. It is off when the time set by the timer is reached. • If the appliance is on pause at the time set by the timer , the pause continues.

1) Selection of the best location 1. Indoor unit • Do not hav e any heat or steam near the unit. • Select a place where there are no obstacles in front of the unit. • Make sure that condensation dr ainage can be conv e- niently routed aw ay . Do not install near a doorwa y .
-24- 3) How to fix installation plate The wall y ou select should be strong and solid enough to pre v ent vibration 1. Mount the installation plate on the wall with four type A screws. If mounting the unit on a concrete wall, use anchor bolts. • Mount the installation plate horizontally by aligning t h ec e n t e r l i n eu s i n gal e v e l .
-25- 2. Flaring W ork and Connection of Piping 1) Flaring work Main cause f or refrigerant leakage is due to def ect in the flaring work. Carr y out correct flar ing work using the f ollowing procedure . 1. Cut the pipes and the cable. • Use the piping kit accessor y or pipes purchased locally .
-26- 2) Connection of piping Indoor • Preparing the indoor unit's piping and drain hose for installation through the wall. • Remov e the plastic tubing retainer(see illustration below) and pull the tubing and drain hose a wa y from chassis. • Replace the plastic tubing holder in the original posi- tion.
-27- • Tighten the flare nut with a wrench. • When e xtending the drain hose at the indoor unit, install the drain pipe. 5. Wrap the insulation material ar ound the connecting portion. • Ov erlap the connection pipe insulation mater ial and the indoor unit pipe insulation material.
-28- 3. Insert the connecting cable into the indoor unit. • Don't connect the cable to the indoor unit. • Make a small loop with the cab le for easy connection later .
-29- • Bundle the piping and drain hose together b y wrap- ping them with cloth tape ov er the range within which they fit into the rear piping housing section. 8. Reroute the pipings and the drain hose acr oss the back of the c hassis. 9. Set the pipings and the drain hose to the back of the chassis with the tubing holder .
-30- 3. Connecting The Cable Between Indoor Unit and Outdoor Unit 1) Connect the cable to the Indoor unit. • Connect the cable to the indoor unit b y connecting the wires to the terminals on the control boar d in dividually accor ding to the outdoor unit connection.
-31- 2) Connect the cable to the outdoor unit 1. Remo ve the control co ver from the unit by loos- ening the screw . Connect the wires to the terminals on the control board individuall y . 2. Secure the cable onto the contr ol board with the cord c lamp.
-32- 4. Chec king the Drainage and Forming the Pipings 1) Checking the draina ge 1. T o remove the fr ont panel from the indoor unit. • Set the air direction louv ers up-and-down to the posi- tion(horizontally) by hand. • Remov e the secur ing screws that retain the front pan- el.

T o remove the Grille fr om the Chassis. • Set the up-and-down air discharge louv er to open position (horizontally) by finger pressure .
-37- 2. T o remove the Contr ol Box. • Remov e secur ing screws . • Pull the control bo x out from the chassis careful- ly . 3. T o remove the Disc harge Grille. • Unhook the discharge grille and pull the dis- charge grille out from the chassis carefully .
-38- • Unhook the tab on the right inside of the chassis at the same time, slightly pull the e vaporator tow ard you until the tab is clear of the slot. 5. T o remove the Motor Co ver • Remov e 2 secur ing screw . • Pull the motor cov er out from the chassis carefully .

1. Air purging Required tools : h e x a g o n a l wrench, adjustable wrench, torque wrenches, wrench to hold the joints, and gas leak detec- tor . The additional gas f or air purging has been charged in the outdoor unit.
2. Pumping down • Procedure (1) Confirm that both the 2-wa y and 3-way valves are set to the open position. – Remov e the valv e stem caps and confirm that the va lve stems are in the r aised position. – Be sure to use a he xagonal wrench to operate the va lve stems .
1) Re-air purging (Re-installation) • Procedure (1) Confirm that both the 2-way valve and the 3- way v alve are set to the closed position. (2) Connect the c harge set and a gas cylinder to the service por t of the 3-way v alve. – Leav e the valv e on the gas cylinder closed.
2) Balance refrigerant of the 2-way , 3-way v alves (Gas leakage) • Procedure (1) Confirm that both the 2-wa y and 3-way v alves are set to the back seat. (2) Connect the c harge set to the 3-wa y valve ’ s port. – Leav e the valv e on the charge set closed.
3. Ev acuation (All amount of refrigerant leaked) • Procedure (1) Connect the v acuum pump to the charge set ’ s center hose (2) Ev acuation for appro ximately one hour . – Confirm that the gauge needle has moved tow ard -76 cmHg (v acuum of 4 mmHg or less).
4. Gas Charging (After Evacuation) • Procedure ( 1 ) Connect the charge hose to the char ging cylinder . – Connect the charge hose which you dis-con- nected from the vacuum pump to the v alve at the bottom of the cylinder .
