4 Hardware Inst allation W ARNING: Do not mount the camera on a sof t material or uneven surface. 1. Choose the location on the wall to place the camera. Use the b racket as a guide and drill three holes into the wall. Hammer the supplied plastic anchors into th e holes and fasten the bracket with the supplied screws.

6 Camera Connection Basic Connection (Without PoE) 1. T o att ach external devices, such as sensors, alarms, speaker and m icrophone , connect them to the extension I/O terminal block. 2. Connect the camera device to the Ethernet hub using a RJ45 Ethernet cable.
7 B. If using a non -PoE Switch 1. Use a standard RJ-45 cable to connect the c amera to a PoE Injector . 2. Use a standard RJ-45 cable to connect the PoE Injector t o the non -PoE switch. 3. Use a standard power cable to connect the P oE Injector to a power outlet.

9 Sof tware Inst allation In this manual, "User" refers to whoever has access to the Netw ork Camera, and "Administrator" refers to the person who can configure the Network Camera and grant user access to the camera.

12 2. Do not check the box if user would like to check the hardware inst allation settings. Otherwise click “ Skip the hardware installation ” to skip the hardware connection checking , the program will automatically search for the Network Camera in the Intranet.
13 3. Select the Netw ork Camera f rom the surv e y list and enter the user name and password. Th e user name and p assword are assigned as “ admin/admin ”.
14 4. Setting the Network Camera IP address. User can either se lect simple mode o r professional mode for netw ork camera IP setting. If simple mo de is select ed, the ea sy conf iguration program will set up the connection automatically .
15 5. Please make sure the inte rnet connection is ready then st art to do the internet discovery , otherwise click “ Skip ” to finish the setting.
16 6. After finish setting, the con nection successful or fail sho wed. I f connection failed , user can either try again or quit the installat ion. User can either select "S tart W eb GUI" to continue or click “ X ” on the top right of the screen to finish the installation.
17 Access to the Network Camera Check Net w ork Settings The Network Camera can be connected either before or immediately after softw are installation onto the Local Area Network. The Ad ministrator should complete th e network settings on the configuration page, including the correct subnet mas k and IP address o f gateway and DNS.
18 A uthentication After opening the Web browser and typing in the URL of the Netw ork Camera, a dialogue window pops up to req uest a username and passw ord.
19 Live V iew Live V iew is the default page that opens w hen accessing th e camera. Live video is displayed directly in the browser window . Stream 1 ~3 Channels The network camera offers simultaneous several streams for optimized quality and bandwidth.

22 Configuration Click < Configuration > on the main page to change the came ra settings pages. NOTE - Only Administrators can access the Configuration page.
23 Profil e - Up to five profiles can be created for dif fe rent lighting environments . Day and night are default profiles and users can create up to three additional pro files. Select a profile from the drop-down menu or select different icons to change profile settin gs .
24 Profile Management : Profiles can be scheduled to change at sched uled times or u nder different lightening changes. A lw ays - Select Always to use a single profile. Select the profile from the drop dow n menu. Day & Night - Select Day & Night to schedule two profiles for day and night.
25 Schedule – Select Schedule to schedule specific time periods for different profiles. Digital Input - Select Digital Input to have the profile management con trolled by an external sensor. Select p rofiles from the drop dow n menu. Profiles w ill change according to different trigger voltage levels .

27 Stream 1 ~ 3 Video Codec - The Network Camera offers three choices o f video codec standards for real-time viewing: H.264, MPEG -4 and MJPEG. Video Resoluti on - Select from the drop-down menu to choose the best resolution recording settings. Frame Rate - Select the frame rate from drop-down menu.
28 Text - To make a note about the camera , check “ Enable ” and select the display pos ition from the drop-down menu. Enter a video description in the tex t box. NOTE - The video overlay will only take e ffect in stream 1. Click Apply to apply settings or Cancel to cancel changes.
29 A udio The administrator can set up several streams for the camera for different viewin g devices. The administrator can enable or disable the audio func tion on either stream. If audio enable is selected, select the Audio codec from the drop -down m enu.
30 Privacy Mask Control The camera is equipped with a privacy feature which allows users to mask the whole or partially of the camera ’ s live view . Privacy Mask Control - Enable the Privacy Mask control to remotely disable live view and recording from the camera.
- 31 - Net w ork IP Settings This section explains how to configure a wired network connection for the camera. There are several ways to setup the camera over the Internet: (1) obtain an av ailable dynamic IP address assigned by a DHCP server, (2) use a static IP, or use PPPoE (Point- to -point over Ethernet).
- 32 - 3. PPPoE (Point- to -point over Ethernet) : Use this mode if connecting to the Internet through a DSL Line. NOTE - To utilize this feature, it requires an account provided by an Internet Serv ice Provider. Enter the user name and password provided by the IS P.

- 34 - HTTP/HTTPS HTTP – (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) - This protocol allows for TCP protocol quality without having to open specific ports for streaming.
- 35 - Multicast Multicast sends a video stream to the multicast group address and allows multiple clients to acquire the stream at the same time by requesting a copy from the multicast group address. Therefore, multicast can effectively save Internet bandwidth.
- 36 - EasyLink The IP Camera is bun dled with free Level1DNS TM service which allows users to a ssign a uni que user name to their network camera’ s IP addr ess. There is no need to configure the rou ter to open up ports or remember hard- to -memorize IP addresses.
- 37 - Event Event Settings W hen an ev ent (such as unauthorized movement) occurs, the camera can be sch eduled to perform certain actions. An Event Type is a set of parameters that defines these actions. This section describes how to configure the camera to perform certain actions when events occur.
- 38 - How to Set Up an Event Schedule Event Schedule describes how and when the camera performs certain actions. 1. Check “ Enable ” and enter a descriptive name for the event schedule . 2. Set Event Schedule to define when the event is act iv ated by selecting from Always (24 hours), Schedule or Recurrence patter n.
- 39 - i. A Scheduled Event can be programmed for certain times and day. ii. Click individual boxes to schedule specific times for the camera to detect events.
- 40 - b. If Recurrence Pattern is selected, the following pag e will be displayed. i. An event schedule can be programmed to recur at different times according to the user’s needs. Select the days for the even t schedule to occur. Select a start time and specify the duration.
- 41 - a. W hen <Se nd to Email> is selected, the following page will be shown: ii. Sender - Enter the email address of the sender. iii. Recipient - Enter the email address of the recipient. To enter multiple recipients, separate each using a comma.
- 42 - iv. Sender ’ s Name – Enter the sender ’ s name that will appear in the recipient ’ s inbox. v. Subject - Enter the title of the email. 5. W hen complete, click Apply to sav e new event or Cancel to d elete the event. The new event will appear on the event list.
- 43 - Detection Setting – Use this setting to enable and define the motion detection windows. The user can defined up to three areas on the live view window for motion detection. 1. Select <W in dow 1>, <W indow2>, or < W indow3> to adjust the motion detection window.
- 44 - 5. Adjust the “ Threshold ” to change the threshold level. The higher the threshold, the larger objects need to be to trigger an event. 6. The chart below the Live View window indicate s the activity lev el of the M otion Detection window. W hen motion is detected by the camera and exceeds the defined threshold, a red bar will appear.
- 45 - Users can schedule an event to be trigg ered if the re is a change in the sound level of a monitored area. Audio detection can be used to measure change in t he ambient voice. Select the sensitivity from the drop-down menu. Sensitivity - is used to adjust the sensitivity of the sound level from 10 - 100%.
- 46 - Notifications Use the tools in this section to specify w hat type of notification will be sent when an event occurs. The camera can send buffered images to an FTP server, Samba, Email, or HTTP. FTP Settings File T ransfer Protocol (FTP) is used as an application component to automatically transfer files for program internal functions.
- 47 - E-mail Settings Select “Primary Email Server” option from the S erver Selection drop down menu to send media files to an email server w hen an event is triggered. SMTP Server - Enter the server host name of the email server. SMTP Port - Enter the port number of the email server ; by default, the SMTP port is set to 2 5.
- 48 - Samba Settings Select this o ption t o s end the media files vi a a network neighborhood when an event is triggered. Server Address - Enter the IP address of the Samba server. User Name - Enter the user name of the Samba server. Password - Enter the password of the Samba server.

- 50 - A udio Clip Audio Recording – Audio clips can be recorded and played when an event occurs. Click Browse to import a file from a local hard drive or network disk. Select the file and click Import. NOTE – The camera can only play audio clips which are sav ed as .
- 51 - Video Clip This function is use d to determine w hen video cli ps will b e recorded and stored af ter an event is triggered. P re -alarm buffer - Images can be stored internally on the server from the time immediately preceding the trigger. Enter the desired length of time.
- 52 - Maintenance Language Select the desired language from the drop-down list. Click Apply to apply settings or Cancel to cancel changes. User Management This section explains how to enable password protection and create multiple account s. The administrator account name is “admin”, which is permanent and cannot be deleted.
- 53 - Enter th e new user’s name , password and confirm password . Administrators can add up to 10 user accounts. Select the privilege level for t he new user account from the drop-down list. Privileg e levels can be assigned as: Administrator - user has access to view and change the Configuration page .
- 54 - NOTE - Do not power off the camera or camera during the upg rade. Upgrade - Click Browse… an d specify the firmware file. Click Upgrade . The camera will begin upgrading and will reboot automatically w hen the upgrade is finished. The following message will show during the firmware up grading process.
- 55 - Reset to Default This section is used to restore the camera to default factory settings. Chec k the boxes to preserve the IP, Date and Time, or Language settings. Click A pply to restore the camera to default factory settings. Reboot This feature will reboot the camera.
- 56 - System System Log Log – Set up the camera to record a system log w h en an event is triggered. This page displays the sys tem’s log in chronological order. T he system log is stored in the camera’s buffer area and will be overwritten when the buffer area is full.
- 57 - Date and Time T ime Zone – Select the loca l time zone from drop-down menu. Manual – Manually enter the date and time. Clone from PC – The camera w ill sync with the time , date and time z one of the computer used to modify the camera settings.
- 58 - Save File Folder Recording folder path - The destination for saving the recording video files. Click Browse to specify the saving path. Snapshot folder path - The destination for saving the snapshot files. Click Browse to specify the saving path and select the format from the drop -down menu.
- 59 - Network Setting s – Displays the complete network settings information of the cam era. Video/Audio Setting s – Displays the complete video/audio settings information of the camera.
