1 Congratulations on choosing EGGSPERT ™ ! This “egg”citing teaching aid wi ll stimulate learning and enliven classroom activities with just the press of a button. Using EGGSPERT’ s two modes, you’ll find hundreds of ways to integrate EGGSPERT into your daily classroom activities.
Student ANSWER BUTT ON 2 T W O W A Y S T O USE EGGSPERT “Quiz Show” In this mode, the teacher poses a question and the first student to press his or her “answer button” gets to answer . 1. Give each student (or group of students) an ANSWER BUTTON .
3 USE EGGSPERT “Wheel of F ortune” In this mode, EGGSPER T picks who will answer a question! (Note: Student answer buttons are not needed for this mode.) 1. Assign each student (or group of students) an EGGSPERT color . 2. Set the TIMER . 3. Choose sound: TONE or VOICE .
4 EGGSPERT’S SPECIAL FEA TURES P ower/V olume RIGHT POSITION: Pre-selects the last egg lit during a “Wheel of Fortune” game. LEFT POSITION: T ur ns of f the egg during game play so that it will not light or beep. Use when playing with less than 6 players MIDDLE POSITION: All eggs light and beep.

6 CL ASSR OO M A CTIVITIES WITH EGGSPERT Practice math facts, spelling words, social studies content—just about anything related to classroom curriculum—with EGGSPER T . Question-and-Answ er Games This is a great way to reinforce content! Pose a question to the students playing.
7 TIES WITH EGGSPERT anything related to classroom curriculum—with EGGSPER T . Set the lights in motion by pressing the white CONTROL BUTTON. If the orange egg remains lit, all students must write down as many words beginning with letter s as they can before the timer runs out.
8 M ORE CL ASSR OO M A C TIVITIES COLORING TO EGGSPERT Have your students create artwork using EGGSPERT as a prompt. Using th e six colors on EGGSPERT , have students draw to the music. When the light lands on the yellow egg, all students must draw with their yellow cr a yo n s .
9 JUS T F OR FUN! EGGSPERT CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT EGGSPERT is a great classroom management tool. Assign EGGSPERT’ s colo rs to the gro ups in your class: Blue, Orange, Purple, Yellow , Pink, and Green. Then when it’ s time to make a decision, let EGGSPERT choose.
10 OPERA TING EGGSPERT WITH BA T TERIES For the best operation, always use fresh alkaline batteries. Other battery types will have a shorter life. 1. Carefully open the battery compartment door located on the bottom of EGGSPERT by loosening the screw holding it in place.
11 CARING F OR EGGSPERT • Clean EGGSPERT with a dry cloth. Do not immerse or spray any liquid or water on th e un it. • T o clean CONTROL and ANSWER BUTTONS, remove cords from Control Center . Gently wipe BUTTONS with a damp cloth. Allow to dry before reinserting cords into Control Center .

13 HO W T O REPL ACE A LIGHT BULB In the event that a light bulb goes out, you may buy a replacement 6 VDC to 6.3 VDC; 100 mA; mini base light bulb at your local hardware store, or you may order a set of six replacement bulbs from Educational Insights by mail (see form below).
