3 INVENTORY OF CO NTENTS 1. WS-7058U—Wireless Weather Center, with table stand (Figu re 1). 2. TX4U—Remote Therm o-Hygro (temperature- humidit y) Sensor: includes a mounti ng bracket/recept or, rain cover, two mounting screws, and a dhesive tape (Figure 2).
4 DETAILED SET-UP GUIDE I. BATTERY INSTALLATION Batteries will fit tightly. To avoid start-up problems, make sure th at th e batteries do not spring free. A. REMOTE THERMO-HYG RO SENSOR 1. Pull the cylindrical rain cover off the sensor. 2. Remove the battery cover (locat ed on the backsi de of the se nsor, above the mounting post and bracke t).
5 C. WEATHER CENTER 1. Remove t he battery cover. To do this, place a solid object in the space provided at th e lo wer- central position o f the battery cove r (the cove r has white wr iting on it) then push up an d pu ll out on the battery cove r. 2.
6 PROGRAM MODE The Program Mode is laid out in a ma nner that allows you to program each function separately, or yo u can follow the instructions entirely to p rogram the Weather Center. Complete prog ramming is usually done for th e initial set-up, and will require you to skip step 1 of each programming section (from section III to XI).
7 4. Press the SET button t o confirm , and advance to set the minut es. 5. The minute digit will flash in LCD 1. Press the + butt on to advance the m inutes (holdi ng the + button down will advance the minutes in i ncrements of five). 6. Press the SET button t o confirm , and to advance t o the Tim e Zone setting.

9 displayed, the next setting mode will b e to Manually set the Relative Air Pressure. X. MANUALLY SETTING THE R ELATIVE AIR PRESSURE 1. Press the SET button twelve times to enter the Man ual Setting of the Relative Air Pressure mode. 2. The air pressure digits in LCD 5 will flash.
10 1. Press the INDOOR button. The Current Indoor temperature in LCD 2 shifts to a display of the minimum recorded indoor temperature, with a “MIN” between t he temperature and humidity. The recorded time simultaneously displays. Press t he INDOOR button to display t he recorded date in LCD 1.

WEATHER ICO NS There are 3 possible weather icons that will be disp layed at v arious times in LCD 3: Sunny— indicates that the w eather is expected to impro ve (not that the weather will be sunny). Sun with Clou ds— indicates that the weather is expected to be fair (not that the weather will be sunny with clouds).

COMFORT LEVEL INDICATOR The comfort l evel indicat or appears i n the cent er portion of LCD 2 (between the Indoor temp erature and the Indoor humidity) as either a “happy-face” or as a “sad -face”. The indicator will display a “happy- face” when the tem perature is between 68 ° F and 79 ° F (20 ° C and 25.
13 pressure (in L CD 5) to evalu ate what past a ir pressures ha ve been. Air pressure trends can be det e rm in ed by sim ply glancing at the bar graph. If the bars are rising (highe r on the right than the left) then the air pressure has a risi ng trend, and the weather s hould improve.
14 To toggle through the 3 different quantities: 1. Press the RAIN button, the rain icon will appear. 2. Press the RAIN button again, “1h” appea rs. 3. Press the RAIN button a third time, no icon will b e visible. VI. RESETTING RAINFALL INFORMATION A.
15 7. Use the + button to change the first digit to a 3 and press the SET button to enter the normal mode. The Weather Center will enter into normal operating mode. Do not press any bu ttons while the Weather Center searches for transm isssion signals.
16 Note: When setting up multiple sensors it is importan t to remove the batteries from all existing units in op eration, then to insert batteries first into all the sensors, and in num eric sequence.
17 Place all units in their desired loca tion , and wait approximately 15 minu tes before permanently mounting to ensure that there is proper reception. The Weather Center should dis play an outdo or temperat ure in LCD 6 within 5 minutes of setting up.
18 3. Remove the p rotective stri p from the othe r side of t he tape, and situate the mounting bracket. Firmly press the mounting bracket onto the m ounting surface.
19 III) THE WS-7058U—WEATHER CENTER The Weather C enter can be m ounted in 2 ways: • With the included table stan d, or • By mounting to a wall. A) TABLE STAND 1) Insert the large r, front tab of th e table stand into t he receptacle underneath the Weather Cent er (if held upri ght).
20 MAINTENAN CE AND CA RE • Extreme tem peratures, vib rations, an d shock sh ould be av oided to preve nt damage to the units. • Clean displays an d units with a soft, da mp cloth. Do not use sol vents or scouring agen ts—th ey may mark and damage the displays an d casings.
21 Weather Center—rec ommended operating te mperature: 32 ° F to 122 ° F (0 ° C to 50 ° C). LCD contrast: 8 levels (0-7). Temperature measuring range Indoor: 14 ° F to 140 ° F with 0.2 ° F resolution. (-9.9 ° C to 59.9 ° C with 0.1 ° C resol ution).
22 Outdoor temperature: Every 1 minut e. Outdoor hum idity: Every 1 minut e. Rain quantity upd ate (Rain Gaug e): Updates every tip of the bu cket. Depending on rain multiplicator (normally 3.75mm rain quan tity). Transmission f requency: 433.92 MHz. Transmission r ange: 80 feet (25m ).
