BEFORE STARTING: Please read these rnstallation instructions COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY. They will save you time, work, and help to ensure optimum dishwasher performance. OBSERVE ALL LISTED WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS. For Replacement Installation - Review these complete instructions to be sure that previous connections are compatible.

I CHOOSING THE LOCA T/ON For easy access to plumbing, it is most convement to have your dishwasher located near the kitchen sink. Any built-in dishwasher must be fully enclosed on the top, both sides, and the back. Therefore, the cabinet space below your kitchen counter is probably the best location.
2 PREPARING THE LOCATION Access holes in the cabmets, floor, or rear wall for the hot water supply line, drain line, and electrical supply must be located within the shaded area in Fig. 3 in order to avoid Interference with the dishwasher frame or other components.
To prevent heat damage to the fill valve, ALL solder connections must be made BEFORE the water line is connected to the dishwasher. . DRAIN LINE The drain line should be 9/,6” (14 mm) ID (minimum) flexible hose or 5,‘~” (16 mm) OD copper tubing.
ELECTRICAL AND GROUNDING CONNECTIONS MUST COMPLY WITH THE CANADIAN ELECTRICAL CODE AND/OR OTHER LOCAL CODES. DISCONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY. TOt? electrical supply must be a 115 volt, 15 amp, properly grounded, positloned as shown in Fig. 8, and should be Installed by a qualified electrician.
REAR CROSS CHANNEL ADJUSTMENT Slide the dishwasher into the cabinet opening, being careful to avoid damage to the floor or interference with water, drain, and electrical lines. DO NOT remove the rear cross channel, unless there is an interference with the plumbing lines.
To maintain dishwasher position and alignment, locate the adjustable brackets at the upper tank corners as shown on Fig. 13 and secure them to the countertop with self-drilling flat head wood screws (supplied). Drill a pilot hole to a %I” (19 mm) maximum depth in the centre of the bracket mounting hole using a l/e” (3 mm) drill bit.
5 CONNECTING THE DRAIN LINE Remove the red plug from the dishwasher check valve and use a hose clamp (not supplied) to connect the prepared drain line direc!ly to the dishwasher check valve (Fig. 15). Make sure there are no sharp bends or kinks anywhere in the drain line which might restrict water flow.
7 FINAL CHECK LIST Open the dishwasher door and remove all cardboard, and literature. DO NOT remove the white plastic plug buttons (Fig. 17) from the sides of door or the white plastic bumpers on front corners of the lower rack. DO NOT remove the two spring retainers (Fig.
8 FRONT PANEL VARIATIONS Vari-Front Panel Pack - All KitchenAid dishwashers are equipped with reversible front panels. If you wish to change the colour of your dishwasher panels, consult your Use and Care Guide for instructions on how to reverse these panels.
9 SEASONAL STORAGE To protect against possible rupture of the fill valve, water lines leading to the dishwasher, as well as water lines in the dishwasher MUST BE PROTECTED AGAINST FREEZING.

CHOIX DE L’EMPLACEMENT Pour avoir facilement acces a la plomberie, placez votre lave-vaisselle pres de I’evier. Tout lave-vaisselle encastre doit etre completement entoure du haut, des deux c&es et de I’arriere. Par consequent, I’espace pour les armoires sous le comptoir de cuisine est probablement le meilleur emplacement.

RiGLAGEDE LABARRETRANSVERSALEARRItRE Faites glisser le lave-vaisselle dans I’encastrement, en ayant soin de ne pas endommager le plancher ou d’accrocher le conduit d’alimentation en eau, le conduit d’evacuation et les connexions electriques.
Pour maintenir la posltion et I’alignement du lave-vaisselle, placez les supports reglables aux coins superieurs de la cuve tel qu’indique dans la Figure 13, et fixez-les au comptoir avec des vis a bois a t&e plate autoperforantes (fournies).
5 RACCORDEMENT DU CONDUIT D’&ACUATlON Retlrez le bouchon rouge du clapet de retenue du lave-varsselle, et, a I’aide d’un collier de boyau (non fourni), raccordez directement le conduit d’evacuation prepare au clapet de retenue du lave-vaisselle (Fig.
3uvrez la Porte du iave-valsselle et enlevez ie cartonnage ainsr que la documentation qui se trouvent a I’interieur de I’appareil. N’ENLEVEZ PAS les boutons en plastique blanc (Fig. 17) situ& sur les c&es de la Porte, ou les butoirs en plastique blanc situ& sur les coins avant du panier inferieur.
8 VARiAN7ES DU F’ANNEAU AVANT Ensemble de panneaux avant reversibles et interchangeables - Tous les lave-vaisselle KitchenAid sont dotes de panneaux avant reversibles. Si vous desirez savoir comment changer la couleur des panneaux de votre lave-vaisselle, reportez-vous a votre Guide d’utilisation et d’entretien.
9 ENTREPOSAGE SAlSONNlER Atin d’hiter tout risque de rupture de la valve de remplissage, ASSUREZ-VOUS que les tuyaux d’eau d’alimentation du lave-vaisselle, ainsi que ceux situ& ti I’intkrieur du lave-vaisselle, sont protbgds contre le gel.
