5 Electrical Requ irements Observe all gover ni ng codes and ordinances. A 120 V olt, 60 Hz, AC only , 1 5- or 20-amp fu sed elect rical su pply (or circui t breaker) is required. (A time-d elay fuse or ci rcuit breaker is recommended.) It is recommended that a sep arate circuit serv ing only this ap plia nce be pr ovide d.

7 MICROWAVE OVEN CONTROL Dis pla y When power is firs t supplie d to the microwave oven, a “:” will blink on the di splay . T ouch CANCEL to stop th e blink ing. If the “ :” blinks on th e displa y at any other time, a power fa ilure has occurred.

9 MICROWAVE OVEN USE A magnetron in the ov en produces microwaves which reflect off the metal floor , walls and ceiling a nd pass through the t urn table and appropriate cookware to the food.
10 Cookware and Din nerware Cookware and dinnerware must fi t on the tur nt able. Al ways use oven mitts or pot holders when handli ng because any dish may become hot from heat transf erred from the food. Do not use cookwar e and d innerwar e with gold or sil ver trim.
11 Cooking To U s e : 1. T ouch COOK TIM E, then enter a leng th of time to cook. If cooking with 100% power , skip t o Step 3 . 2. T ouch COOK POWER, t hen enter the des ired power level. See “Cooking Power” chart 3. T ouc h ST ART . The di splay will coun t down t he cook time .

13 Custom Defrost The Custom Defrost feat ure can be used, or the microwave oven can be man ually s et to defrost by using 30% cook power . ■ Food should be 0°F (-18°C) or colder at defrosting for optimal results. ■ Unwrap foods and r emove lid s (from fru it jui ce) befor e defrosti ng.
14 Crisp or Sizzle The Pan Heat feat ure, combined with Crisp or Sizzle features, uses the Cris per Pan to brown, crisp, an d pan-fry food s in the microwave oven.
15 MICROWA VE OVEN CAR E Genera l Clea ning IMPORT AN T : Before cleaning, make sure all controls are off and the ov en is cool. A lways follow label instru ctions on clea ning products. Soap, wat er and a soft cl oth or sp onge are suggest ed first unless otherwise noted.
16 Replacin g Filters The grease filters should be removed and cleane d at least once a month. The charcoal fil ters cann ot be wash ed and should be replaced every 6 to 12 months. Do not operate the microwave oven without the filters i n place. See “Assi stance or Service ” to reor der filters.
17 Replacin g Microwave Oven L ight The microwave oven light is a 10W low-vol tage halogen cap sule bulb. It will automa tically come on when the door is op ened and when the microwave oven i s operatin g. See “Assistance or Service” section for replacement or dering in structions.
