9 COOKTOP USE Ceramic Glass (on some mod els) The surface cooking a rea will glow red when an element i s on. It may cycle on an d off to mainta in the se lecte d heat l evel. It is normal for the surface of white or biscuit ceramic glass to appear to cha nge color when surfac e cooking areas are hot.
10 Home C a n ning When canning for l ong periods, al ter nate the use of surface cooking areas, elements or su rface bur ners bet ween batch es. This allows ti me for the most recently u sed areas to cool. ■ Center the canne r on the grate or largest surface cooking area or element.

12 Hot Surface Indicator Lights The Hot Surfac e Indicat or Lights are located nex t to each of th e cooktop touch controls. The Hot Surface I ndicator Lights will glow as long as any surfa ce cooking area is too hot to touch, even after t he surface cooking area(s) is turn ed off.
13 The Dual-S ize Elem ents of fer fle xibility de pendin g on the size o f the cookwa re. S i ngle s ize can be used in the same way as a regular element. The du al size combin es both the single and outer element and i s recommended for larger size cookware.
14 Cooktop Controls - Stan dard Knobs The cooktop controls can b e set to anywh ere between HI and LO. 15 POWER ON Lights Each contr ol knob has a POWER ON ligh t. The light will glow when i ts contr ol knob is on. A. Pow er on indica tor light Hot Surface Indicator Light The hot surface in dicator light wil l glow as long as any su rface cooking area is too hot to touch, even after the s urface cooking area(s) is tur ned off.

Hold down the pad a few se conds, or until the desi red function appears in the disp lay .
17 OPTI ON S Options Sele ction Pad The OPTIONS select ion pad all ows you t o access sp ecial functions wit hin the Elect ronic Oven Control that al low you to customize the product to your needs.
18 T o Adjust Oven T emperature Calibration: 1. Press OPTIONS, and then 6 to set the calib ration. 2. Press 3 to increas e the temperat ure, or press 6 to decrease the tempera ture. 3. Press ST ART to end c alibra tio n. Sabbath M ode - Option 7 The Sabbat h Mode se ts the oven to remain on in a ba ke setti ng until tur ned off.
19 OV E N USE Odors and smoke are normal when the oven is u sed the first few times, or when it is heavi l y soile d. IMPORT ANT : The healt h of some birds is extremely sens itive to the f umes given off. Expo sur e to the fum es m ay r esult in de ath to certain birds.
20 1. Press the number pad s to enter a probe tempe rature. The probe temperature can be se t betw een 130°F an d 190°F (54°C and 88 °C). 2. Press BAKE, CONVECT BAKE or CONVE CT ROAST . Press number pads to ente r a temperature other than the one displa yed.
21 T o Bake or Roast: Before baking and roast ing, posit ion racks according to the “Positioni ng Racks and B akeware” section. For baking, allow t he range to preheat b efore placing food in th e oven. When roasting, it is no t necessa ry to wait for the oven to preheat before putting food in , unless recommended in the re c ip e .
22 Convection Cookin g (on some mod els) In a convecti on oven, the fan-c irculated hot air contin ually distributes heat mor e evenly than the natural mo vement of air in a standard thermal oven.
23 Convection Roast (on som e models) Convection Roa st can be used to roast meat and po ultry , and bake foods, such as yeas t breads, pies , loaf, bun dt and tu be cakes on a single rack.
24 Convection Broil (on some mod els) Conve ction Br oil is ideal for co oking foods suc h as thinner cu ts of meat; file ts of fish; boneless, skinl ess chicken; ve getable s and garlic bread.
25 T o Set a Cook Tim e and Sto p Time (Del ay Start): Before setting, make su re the clock is set to t he correct time of day . See “Clock/Timer Dis play” section . 1. Press BAKE, CONVECT BAKE or CONVE CT ROAST . Press the numb er pads to enter a temperatu re other than the one di splayed.

27 T o Delay the S tart of Self-Cleaning: Before dela ying the sta rti ng of S el f-Cl ean , mak e su re the c loc k i s set to t he correct time of d ay . See “Clock/Timer Displa y” section . Also, make sure the door is closed comp letely or i t will not lock and the cy cle will n ot begin.
28 COOKTOP CONTROLS Do not use steel wool , abrasive cleansers or oven cleane r . Do not soak k nobs. When replacing knobs, make sure knobs are in the Off posit ion. On s ome mod el s, do no t remo ve s eal s u nde r k nob s. Cleaning Method: ■ Soap and water or dishwa sher: Pull knob s straight away from co ntro l panel to remove.
29 Ove n Door For normal range use, it is not suggested to remove the oven door . However , if re moval is necessary , make sure the oven is off and cool. Then, fol low these instructions. Th e ov en door is heavy . To R e m o v e : 1. Open oven door all the way .
30 TROUBLESHOOTIN G T ry the solut ions suggested here fi rst in order to avoid the cost of an unnecessary service call. Nothing will operate ■ Is the power supply cor d unplugged? Plug into a grounded outlet. ■ Has a household fuse blown, or h as a circuit br eaker tripped? Replace the fuse or reset the circuit b reaker .
