8 480i IP Phon e User Guide Using the 480i Phone Idle State The Idle State menu appears when your phone i s not in use. Your system administrator can set these softkeys using the con figuration files or the administrative options in the Aastra Web UI.
480i IP Pho ne User Guid e 9 Using the 480i Phone Softkeys Your 480i has 6 softkey access buttons, 3 on eith er side of the phone’s display. The softkey menus will change depending on the phon e’s state, displaying relevant softk eys only.

These line/call appearance softkeys function in a similar manner to the 4 line/call appearance hard keys and lights on your phone.
480i IP Pho ne User Guid e 11 Using the 480i Phone appearances that can be set up is 8 or 9 (4 line/ca l l appea r ance as hard keys and 4 or 5 as softkeys). If all line/call appearances h ave been set up for the same number, a total of 9 lines can be configur ed.

20 480i IP Phon e User Guide Handling Calls To transfer a call to another extension : 1. Connect to the c al l you wish to transfer (if n ot already conne ct ed) . 2. Press the . button. 3. Enter the extension nu mber of the person you wish to transfer the call to.

22 480i IP Phon e User Guide Handling Calls Call Forwarding The call forwarding f eature on the IP phone allows incoming calls to be forwar ded to another destination. The pho n e sends the SIP message to the SIP proxy, which then forwards the call to th e assigned destination.
