4 Using Y our Kambrook Essentials Banquet Frypan Befor e First Use Befor e first use wash, rinse and dr y your fr ypan and lid. Season the cooking surface by appl ying a thin coating of cooking oil with paper tow elling. W arning: Do not immerse the po wer cor d, plug or temperature contr ol probe in water or an y other liquid.
5 Care and Cleaning Cooking in your non-stick Banquet Fr ypan minimises the need for oil. As a result the f ood does not stick and cleaning is easier . Any discolouration that ma y occur will only detract fr om the appearance of the frypan and will not affect the cooking performance.
6 Buy meat strips from y our butcher or from y our supermaket, or prepar e meat strips from r ecommended cuts listed abov e by r emoving an y fat and slicing thinl y acr oss the grain (acr oss the direction of meat fibr es). Slicing across the grain ensures tenderness.
7 Do not mov e the fr ypan during heating or cooking. Wipe moisture fr om foods to av oid splattering. Cook a fe w pieces at a time to ensure crispness. Drain cook ed foods on paper to wels to reduce gr easiness. Nev er lea v e your frypan unattended or unsuper vised while shallow frying.
8 Add soft or quick cooking v egetables such as mushr ooms, tomatoes, beans or corn in the last half hour of cooking. Thick en towards end of cooking b y stirring in a little cornflour blended with water , or plain flour blended with margarine or butter .
9 T oasting Sandwiches Recommended temperature pr obe setting 8 Up to six sandwiches can be toasted at once in the Banquet Fr ypan. Choose fillings which will hold together and not spill out of the sandwich. Preheat the frypan. Butter the pieces of bread w ell and place the sandwich in the fr ypan with the buttered sides on the outside.
10 Recipes Orange pik elets 1 cup self raising flour 2 teaspoons sugar 1 egg 2 teaspoons of melted butter or margarine rind of 1 orange 1 ⁄ 2 cup milk Sift the flour into a bowl, add sugar . Make a well in the centr e and br eak in the egg. Add the cooled butter , orange rind and almost all the milk.

12 Cov er and marinate for 30 minutes. Drain plums and reserve syrup for sauce. Remov e the stones roughl y slice the flesh. Drain marinade fr om pork and pat dr y with paper tow elling. Bro wn the pork fillets on high heat, setting 8 for appr ox. 10 minutes.
13 Beef and red wine casser ole 750g diced lean beef (round, chuck or gra vy beef) 1 tablespoon oil 8 small (pickling) onions 2 teaspoons crushed garlic 2 lean bacon rashers, chopped 250g whole button mushr ooms 3 ⁄ 4 cup red wine 1 ⁄ 4 cup steak sauce Heat a little of the oil in the fr ypan on setting 10.
14 In a bowl, combine orange juice , mustard, honey and mint sauce. Pour ov er lamb, during the last 15 minutes of cooking. During last 15 minutes of cooking, place pumpkin cubes, then asparagus in separate pans of boiling water . Cook until tender . Remov e lamb and skim pan juices.
