Preparing the remote controller Before using the remote controller: Aim the remote controller directly at the remote sensor on the main unit. Make sure there is no obstacle in between. Do not expose the remote sensor to strong light (direct sunlight or artificial lighting).

Handling cassettes The cassette deck built in this unit requires very little attention, but you will be ab le to extend the life of the cassette deck if y ou f ollo w the instr uctions below . T o clean the heads • Clean the heads after e ver y 10 hours of use using a w et-type head cleaning tape (av ailab le at an audio store).
Center holder Handling CDs The CD pla yer b uilt in this unit has been designed to pla y back the CDs bearing the follo wing mar ks . Y ou can also pla y back your original CD-Rs (Recordab le) and CD-RWs (Rewritable) on this receiv er. This unit is not compatible with MP3.
TROUBLESHOOTING What appears to be trouble is not alwa ys ser ious. Chec k the following points bef ore calling a ser vice center. Symptoms • CD cannot be pla y ed bac k. • CD sound is sometimes interrupted. • NO DISC ” appears on the display .
