This User’ s Guide explains settings for the netw ork related menus, operation for recording streaming data to a CF (Compact Flash) memory card and operation for sending streaming data using a LAN card.

8 Menu screen Setting the NETWORK P ACK CONFIG menu screen Menu screen settings can be made regardless of whether a card is inserted. Settings will be stored in the KA-D V5000 memory even when turning the power off. Settings are made by viewing the LCD screen or vie wfinder screen.

30 Network pac k setup Controlling GY-D V5000/KA-DV5000 via LAN car d With the Network Pac k, GY -DV5000/KA-D V5000 can be controlled via LAN. It is also possible to pla yback video and audio from KA-D V5000 on your PC in the STREAMCAPTURE screen in realtime (liv e display ) as well as sav e data to files.

42 Others Checking comm unication/connection By using the PING command standard to Windows, it is possible to chec k whether the connection is correct and that communication can be made from the PC to KA-D V5000. 1.
