6 Connections Front Panel Rear Panel Front Panel for A V -60D501 and AV -50D501 Front Input door open Rear Panel for A V -60D501 and AV -50D501 Shown below are illustrations of the Front and Rear panels of the D-Series Projection Televisions. Take a moment to look at the illustrations to familiarize yourself with their layout.
Before you can begin to watch your D-Series Projection television, you will need to connect it to an antenna or cable outlet. The next four diagrams should cover most typical antenna or cable connections. Use Diagram #1 to connect your television to an antenna with flat cable leads.
8 Connections 1) Connect the coaxial cable from the cable television outlet to the ANT-A input at the rear of the television. 2) Connect a coaxial cable from the CABLE LOOP OUT jack at the rear of the TV to the input jack on the cable box.
Connections 9 1) Connect a video cable from the V ideo Out jack on the back of the VCR to either the Video Input 1 or Video Input 2 jacks on the rear panel of the television. 2) Connect the red audio cable from the right Audio Output jack on the VCR to the right Audio Input jack at the rear of the television.
10 Connections A udio/Video Connections - Stereo Systems 1) Connect the audio cables from the Audio Monitor Output jacks on the television’s rear panel to the TV In or Aux In terminals at the back of your audio system. The r ed cable connects the right Output to the right Input.

Closed Captions Y our television can display Closed Caption content when included with a broadcast. Ther e are two types of Closed Captions broadcast: Standar d , which follows the dialog of the chara.

Each setting can be further adjusted using the audio and video setting adjustments described on the next page.

For example, to turn to channel 47: 4 (Four) 7 (Seven) Enter Q UICK V IEW (QV) Instantly returns to the previous channel watched. For example, if you were watching Channel 5 and turned to Channel 23: QV Y ou will return to Channel 5.

Appendix 1- Screen Shield 37 The Screen Shield provides a layer of protection for your television screen. It has a subtle tint which enhances picture contrast. The screen shield comes installed on your D-Series projection television. You can remove the screen shield if you prefer .
