junxion box user guide 5 Introduction W elcome. Thank you f or using a Junxion Box cellular r outer . The Junxion Box enables laptops, deskt ops and other devices to connect quickly and easily to the I nt ernet and remote ent erprise networks using cellular data networks.

12 junxion box user guide Connection Charges The Junxion Box can be left pow ered on indefinitely . B y default, the Junxion Bo x W AN Alive™ f eature does send and rec eive traffic ov er the Internet periodically in order to monitor the Internet connection.

junxion box user guide 15 Where t o F ind More Help The Ethernet, Wi-F i, and T CP/IP network inter faces used by the Junxion Bo x comply with industr y standar ds. Connection issues may be rela ted to the proper use of these standards and not the Junxion Box itself .
16 junxion box user guide Using the Devic e M anager Y ou can configure and customize the Junxion Bo x using the Device Manager . The Device Manager is built into the Junxion Box itself , so you don ’t need to install an y additional software. Y ou can operate the Device Manager with most web bro wsers.

If the Junxion B o x star ted with aut omatic card detection on, this fi eld will show which cellular modem was det ected in the Junxion Box. PC Card Modem. By default, the Junxion Bo x will attempt to automa tically detect your PC Card modem.

20 junxion box user guide IP address and gatew ay address . IP passthrough works best when the cellular PC Card modem is setup b y the carrier to receive a public sta tic IP address on the carrier network. W AN Juggler and IP passthrough cannot be used when the splash page featur e is enabled.

junxion box user guide 23 W AN Inter face Reboot . If you need to reboot y our cellular modem, or the connection to the Ethernet backhaul, click the Reboot button. The Junxion Box will disconnect and reconnect onto the W AN net w ork . LAN connections will remain active during this process .
24 junxion box user guide Lease T imer . The Junxion Box dynamically assigns IP addresses to networked computers that use DHCP . The assigned dynamic IP address will remain eff ec tiv e for the duration of time specifi ed in the lease timer . By default, the lease timer is 3,600 seconds, or one hour .
junxion box user guide 25 Junxion Box IP . The Junxion Box by default is assigned a LAN IP addr ess of 192.168.2.1/24. Y ou can customize the LAN IP address to an y IP address that is compatible with the clients connecting to the Junxion Bo x. Standard private addr esses include 192.

DES supports 56-bit encr yption. 3DES suppor ts 168-bit encryption. AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) is available with 128, 192, and 256-bit keys.
