8 ELEC TR ON IC O V EN CONTR OLS Display When power i s first su pplied to the app liance, a f lashing time will appear on the di splay . S ee “Clock” sect ion to set time of day . If a flashin g time appears at an y other time, a powe r failure has occurred.
9 Adjustin g Sound L evel The oven is fact ory set for mediu m (MEd) but can be ch anged to low (LO) or hi gh (HI). 1. Press and hold DELA Y an d upper oven CANCE L for 3 seconds. A beep will sound. “bE EP” and the current sound level wi ll b e disp layed.
10 OV E N U S E Odors and smoke are normal when the oven is u sed the first few times, or when it is heavily s oiled. IMPORT ANT : The health of s ome birds is extremely s ensitive t o the f umes gi ven of f. Exp osur e to the fumes may r esult in death to certain birds.
11 Convect ion Cookin g (on some mo dels) BAKEWARE T o cook food evenl y , hot air must be abl e to circulate. Allow 2" (5 cm) of space around ba keware and oven wall s. Use the following chart as a guid e. Bak ew a re The bakeware mat erial affects cooking re sults.
12 3. Press BAKE again or wait 4 seconds. “BAKE” wi ll sto p flashing a nd light in the dis play . PREHE A T will li ght in the display . 100°F (35°C) or the actu al oven temperat ure if over 100°F (35° C) will di spla y . The temperat ure will ris e in 5° increments until t he preset temperature is reached.
13 T oasting - Upper Ov en Only (on some models) For toastin g bread and products that are toast ed in a toas ter or toast er oven. ■ Lower oven cannot be operated while upper ov en is toa sting. If the lower oven is operating when the T oa st pad is pressed, a beep will sou nd.
14 ■ When roasting poultry and meat , use a broiler p an and grid. It is not n ecessary to wait for the ov en to pre heat, unle ss recommended in the recipe. Preheating During the CONVECT preheati ng cycle, the fan, and the bake and broil elements heat the oven cavity .

16 A utomatic Shut-O f f/Sabbath Mode The oven con tro l is s et to au tomatic ally sh ut of f the oven 12 hours afte r the oven is turn ed on. This fea ture can be turn ed off to enable Sabbat h Mode. ■ Sabbath M ode can be turned on at an y time with or without the oven on.
