1 IN510 0 Series Networking G uide This guide is only intended to explain Network Functions. For safety , operat ions or any other issu es, re fer to the pr o - jector ’s User ’s Guide or Safety Booklet.
2 Network Functions This projector is equipped with the following network functions. Configuring and Controlling the Pr ojector via a W eb Bro wser Y ou can change the settings of or control the pr ojector via a network by using a web brow ser fr om a PC that is con - nected to the same network.
3 Configuring and contr o lling the pr ojector via a web br o wser Y ou can adjust or control the projector via a network fr om a web browser o n a PC that is connected to the same net - work. NO TE: • Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher or Netscape 6.2 o r higher are r equired.
4 Below are the factory default settings for ad ministra tor IDs, user I Ds and passwor ds. Item ID Pa s sw o rd Administrator ID Administrator <blank> User ID User <blank>.
5 Settings Refer to the following for configuring or co ntrolling the pr ojector via a web bro wser . Example: If the IP address of th e pr ojector is set to 192.168.1.10: 1 Enter [http://192.168.1.10] into the address bar of the web br owser an d the screen below will be display ed.
6 Network Inf ormation NO TE: All screen images shown in this document are scr een s of a lo gon using an Administ rator ’s ID. Any Adminis - trator-o nly functions will not be displayed when usi ng a User ID. Displays the projector ’s cu rrent network configuration.
7 Netw ork Setting Displays and configures network settings. NO TE: • The new configuration settings are activated after re star ting the network connection. When the configuration set - tings are changed, you must r estart the network connectio n. Y ou can restart the network connection by clicking [Network Restart ] on the main menu.
8 Mail Settings Click the [Apply] button to save the settings. NO TE: • Y ou can confirm whether the mail settings work corr ectly using the [Send T est Mail] button. • If you connect the pr ojector to an existing network, consult a network ad ministrator befor e setting server addresses.
9 Aler t Settings Clicking each Alert brings up a dialog box wher e you can specify that an email be sent to alert the appr opriate person - nel that an error has occurr ed. Subject can be 255 characters, T ext can be 1024 characters. Item Description Lamp won’ t strike Lamp won’ t turn on after 5 attempts.
10 Schedule Settings Click the [Apply] button to save the settings. T o add additional functi ons and events cl ick the [Add] button and set the following items. Click the [Registe r] button to add new commands to the Schedule List. Click the [Delete] button to delete commands fro m the Schedule list.
11 Date/Time Settings Click the [Apply] button to save the settings. NO TE: The new configuration settings are activated after r estarting the network connection. The network connection must be restarted when the configuration settings are change d, The network connection can be r estarted using [Network Restart] on the main menu.
12 • The Internal Clock’s time may not remain accurate. Using SNTP is r ecommended to maintain accurate time. Security Settings Click the [Apply] button to save the settings. NO TE: • The new configuration settings are activated after re st arting the network connecti on.
13 Pr ojector Control NOTE: For detail about pr ojector contro l functions, see the pr ojector’ s User’ s Guide. Item Description Main Basic proj ector commands including pow er on/off and changing source. Picture Pic ture settings including k eystone, contrast, and brightness.

Failur e and W arning Aler ts via E-mail The projector can automatically send an alert to specified e- mail ad dresses whe n the pr ojec tor requir es maintenance or has encountered an err or .
16 Subject line: T est Mail <Projector name> Te x t : S e n d Te s t M a i l Date <T es ting date> T ime <T esting time> IP Address <Projector IP addr es s> MAC Address <Pr ojector MAC addr ess> 3 Configure the Failure/W arning Alerts via E-mail settings.
17 Pr ojector management via SNMP NO TE: • It is recommended that SNMP functions be carried out by a network administrator . • SNMP management software must be installed on the computer to monitor the projector via SNMP . SNMP Settings Configure the following items via a web br owser to use SNMP .
18 Contr olling the projector via scheduling The project or can be automatical ly contr olled via scheduling. NO TE: • Y ou can schedule the following contro l events: Power ON/OFF , Input Source . • There ar e 3 types of Scheduling, 1) daily 2) day of the week 3) specific date.
