GENERAL SAFETY PRECA UTIONS 10 – English Battery safety The rechargeable Husqv ar na batteries, BLi, are exclusiv ely used as a power supply f or the relevant Husqvarna cordless appliances. T o avoid injury , the battery must not be used as a power source for other devices .
GENERAL SAFETY PRECA UTIONS English – 11 Do not charge: • non-rechargeable batteries in the battery charger or use them in the machine. • the battery in the batter y charger outdoors. • the battery in the rain or in wet conditions. • the battery in direct sunlight.
GENERAL SAFETY PRECA UTIONS 12 – English • Then press the power trigger up to apply full pow er. Release the power trigger and check thereb y the free back mov ement of the power trigger . The cutting unit must stop within 1 second. Restar t the machine and release the power trigger lock out on the front handle.
B A TTER Y HANDLING English – 13 Battery status The display shows the battery capacity and if there are any problems with the battery . The battery capacity is display ed for 5 seconds after the machine is s witched off or the battery indicator button is pressed.
B A TTER Y HANDLING 14 – English T ranspor t and storage • The contained lithium-ion-batteries are subject to the Dangerous Goods Legislation requirements. • For commercial tr anspor ts e.g. by third par ties, forw arding agents, special requirement on packing and labeling must be observed.
ST AR TING AND ST OPPING English – 15 Check bef ore star ting • Inspect the working area. Remove an y objects that could be thrown out. • Check the cutting attachment. Ne ver use blades that are dull, crack ed or damaged. • Check that the machine is in perf ect working order.
W ORKING TECHNIQ UES 16 – English General working instructions Basic safety rules • Nev er allow children to use or be in the vicinity of the machine. • Observe your surroundings and make sure that there is no risk of people or animals coming into contact with the cutting equipment.
W ORKING TECHNIQ UES English – 17 • Alwa ys use both hands to hold the machine. Hold the machine at the side of your body . • Make sure that no clothes or parts of the body come in contact with the cutting equipment when it is activated.
W ORKING TECHNIQ UES 18 – English • Do not rush the work, but work steadily until all the branches hav e been cut back cleanly . • The hedge trimmer’s rear handle can be set in fi ve positions by pulling out the catch. See fi gure. When the handle is adjusted, the cutting attachment must not be running.
MAINTENANCE English – 19 Inspection and maintenance All servicing and repair work on the machine requires special training. This is especially true of the machine ′ s safety equipment. If y our machine fails any of the chec ks described below you must contact y our ser vice agent.
