Vertical white stripes appear on the printed page The destination printer might be out of toner or ink. Scan a different original to the same printer to see if the issue lies with the printer. If the second scan has the same prob le m, try scanning to a different printer.
5. If the problem persists, the buttons might be disabl ed outside of the HP Sc anner Tools Utility. Try the followin g procedure: a. Open Control Panel , select Hard ware and So und , and then selec t Scanners and Cameras (in Windows 7, select Hardware and Sound , and then select Devices and Printers ).
● The document feed er or output tray might cont ain more than the maximum number of pages. Load fewer pages in the document feeder, a n d remove page s from the output tray. ● Clean the scanner paper path to help reduce misfeeds. If misfeeds still occur, clean the rollers.
The scanned images have streaks or scratches After each step, try another scan to see if the st reak s or scratche s are still appa rent. If so, then try the next step. For information on cl eaning the scanner, see the Care and maintenance section of the User Guid e.
