Wireless without a router (ad h oc connection) Use this sectio n if you want t o connect the HP Photosmart to a wire less-capable computer without using a wireless router or acce ss point. There are two method s you can use to connect the HP Photosmart to your compu ter using an ad hoc wire less networ k connection.
To create a ne twork profil e (Windows Vista ) NOTE: The product com es configured with a network profile w ith hp (product model).(6-digi t unique id entifier) as the network nam e (SSID). However, for security and privacy H P recommends you crea te a new network profi le on your computer as described here.
