Unpacking and getting ready 1 After unpacking your oven, check that it has not been damaged whilst in the box. Make sure there are no dents, that the door closes properly . A dented or damaged oven could allow microwave energy to escape. Make sure that you have t aken a ll t he p ackaging f rom i nside the o ven.

Intr oducing micr owave cooking Always remember the basic safeguards you would follow when using any cooking equipment or handling hot food. This page gives some of the basic guidelines for microwave cooking. If you are u nfamiliar w ith u sing a m icrowave, t here is mo re in for mation at the back of this instruction booklet.
Microwave ovens cook food using microwave energy that is similar to naturally occurring radio waves. Normally , these "waves" wo uld fa de as th ey di sappeared in to th e at mosphere but in a microwave oven they are concentrated onto food causing it to heat up.
8 Remember Always check that the food is evenly cooked and piping hot before you ser ve it. 900 W is the output power of the oven. E is the heating categor y for your oven. Check the cooking times for categor y E on the food's p ackaging to see how long it should be cooked for .
Steam When you microwave food, steam is created as water in the food heats up and evaporates. The steam formed during microwave cooking is entirely safe. It has to escape from the microwave to prevent pressure from building up inside the oven. It does this through the vents on the back of the oven and from around the door .
10 Introducing microwave cooking Safety For your safety , the microwave stops if the oven door is opened during cooking. Close the door to continue the cooking cycle. Hint Y ou can stop cooking at any time so that you can; check the food, turn the food over , stir it or leave the food to stand.
11 Hint Y our oven has a safety feature that prevents children from using your oven. Once the child lock is set, you will be unable to use any functions, and no cooking can take place.
12 Using the microwave 1 2 Press " Clock " to set clock. Hour figures flash to tell you input the hour figures. T ouch and rotate around the dial wheel to adjust the hour figures, the input time should be within 0--23. 3 Press " Clock ", the minute figures will flash.
13 Microwave cooking Hint: Star ting and stopping cooking It is possible to check cooking progress at any time, by opening the door and inspecting the food. This interrupts the emission of microwave energy and the oven stops working until the door is closed again.
14 Microwave cooking Hint The quick star t feature allows you to set 30 seconds inter vals of HIGH power cooking with the touch of the Star t button. 1 2 During microwave state, press " St art/+30Sec. " key to cook with 100% power level for 30 seconds.
15 Microwave cooking 1 2 3 4 5 Multi-Stage Cooking Three stages can be maximumly set. If one stages is defrosting, it should be put in the first stage. The buzzer will ring once after each stage and the next stage will begin. Note: Auto menu cannot be set as one of the multi-stage.
16 Microwave cooking Pre-set Function 1 2 Input the cooking program. Three stages can be set at most. Defrosting should not be set in preset function. Auto menu can be set single stage only . 3 Press " Pre-Set " . Hour figures flash to tell you input the hour figures.
17 Microwave cooking 1 2 Press " " or " " to choose the menu you need. 3 Press " Ok " to confirm the menu you need. 4 In waiting state, press " < " or " > " or press " Auto Menu "to choose the auto menu function.

19 Microwave cooking In cooking state, press" Microw a ve ", the current power will be displayed for 2-3 seconds. During cooking state, press " Clock " to check the current time.
20 Defrosting 2 Press " W eight Defrost " pad, the oven will display "100g". 3 T ouch and rotate around the dial wheel to select the weight of food. The weight should be 100-2000g. 4 Press " St art/+30Sec. " key to star t defrosting.
Defrosting 21 2 Press " Defrost By Time " key , the oven will display "0:00". 3 T ouch and rotate around the dial wheel to select the cooking time. The maximum setting time is 95 minutes. 4 Press " St ar t/+30Sec. " key to start defrosting.
22 Cleaning Unplug your oven before you clean it. The oven walls have a special enamel coating which makes cleaning ver y easy . Use a soft damp cloth to wipe off any splashes or a paper towel to mop up any spills. W ipe off grease with a damp cloth and a little detergent.
23 Using aluminium foil As with all metal, microwave energy can not p ass t hrough foil, b ut p rovided that you keep the foil away from the side of the oven it will not cause sparks and there will not b e any d amage t o your oven.

25 Questions and answers Q Does the micr owave ener gy get thr ough the window on the door? A No. The door has a special metal screen with holes in that lets you see inside but stops microwave energy from getting out. Q Steam comes out of the side of the door and vents.
