8 Ho w T o Install Y our New Hitac hi Plasma T ele vision W ALL MOUNTING SETUP STEP (1) : REMOVE THE ST AND BASE FROM THE PLASMA TELEVISION Please remove the 4 screws shown below in order to separate the TV from the T able T op Stand. Now the T able T op Stand can be separated from the TV .

FIRST TIME USE 11 Q uic k R eference R emote Contr ol Buttons and Functions In addition to controlling all of the functions on your Hitachi Plasma TV , the new remote control is designed to operate dif ferent types of devices, such as, DVD Players, CBL (Cable Boxes), set-top-boxes, satellite receivers, and VCRs.
12 Quic k Setup Guide Perform the following steps to quickly setup your new Hitachi Plasma T elevision Set. 1. ANTENNA CONNECTION Unless your Plasma T elevision is connected to a cable TV system or to a centralized antenna system, a good outdoor color TV antenna is recommended for best performance.
FIRST TIME USE 13 TV Setup W izar d If this is the rst time you have turned on your TV and the TV Setup Wizard appears on-screen, start by selecting Y es or No in the top portion of the TV Setup Wizard. Use the 1. t and u CURSOR to select Y es or No and press the SELECT button on the remote control.

Note: Use this mode for only 15% of your total viewing time to prevent uneven aging of the phosphors.

41 ON-SCREEN DISPLA Y Setup Set The Power Indicator This feature allows you to adjust the brightness intensity of the LED indicating light in the Front of your Hitachi Plasma TV . Select MAX or LOW for maximum brightness or lowest brigthness. Select OFF to turn off the indicating light.
