HOOK-UP CABLES AND CONNECT ORS 6 ANTENNA CONNECTIONS T O REAR JA CK P ANEL VHF (75-Ohm) antenna/CA TV (Cable TV) When using a 75-Ohm coaxial cable system, connect the outdoor antenna or CA TV coaxial cable to the ANT A (75-Ohm) terminal. If you ha ve a second antenna or cable TV system, connect the coaxial cable to the ANT B terminal.

S-VIDEO connections are provided for high perf or mance laserdisc play ers, VCRs etc. that ha ve this f eature. Use these connections in place of the standard video connection if your de vice has this feature . If your de vice has only one audio output (mono sound), connect it to the left audio jack on the tele vision.
13 CONNECTING EXTERNAL A UDIO SOURCES T o control the audio lev el of an external audio amplifier with the remote control, connect the system as shown below . NO TE: 1. T o prev ent damage to the speaker and distor ted sound, set the v olume control of the audio amplifier lower and adjust the sound using the remote control of the TV set.
14 CONNECTING EXTERNAL VIDEO SOURCES The e xact arrangement you use to connect the VCR, camcorder , laserdisc player , D VD play er , or HDTV Set T op Bo x to your TV set is dependent on the model and f eatures of each component. Check the owner ’ s manual of each component for the location of video and audio inputs and outputs.

20 THE REMO TE CONTROL In addition to controlling all the functions on your HIT A CHI Projection TV , the new remote control is designed to operate diff e rent types of VCRs , CBL (Cable TV) con v er ters, satellite receiver , D VD pla y ers, and other audio/video equipment with one touch.

CHANNEL MANA GER 43 This selection contains advanced f eatures which will make TV viewing easier and more enjo yab le. Use this f eature to give up to 20 channels a name when ANTENNA signal source is selected and up to 60 channels a name when CA TV signal source is selected.
LOCKS 44 This function will bloc k out the picture and sound of the selected channel or video input. It can also be used to keep the TV from being viewed f or a scheduled time per iod that you set. The code to enter the Locks f eature is a four digit secret code number .

SETUP 49 Select SETUP when setting your TV up for the first time . Use the CURSOR or on the remote to highlight the function desired. This f eature will allow y ou to select any one of three diff erent languages for all on-screen displa ys. Use CURSOR , to highlight the language of your choice .

SETUP 54 Use this function to automatically turn the TV on and tune to Video2 when it detects a video signal to input 2. Use CURSOR or , then press the SELECT button to change A UTO LINK setting. When A UT O INPUT SIGNAL SENSOR is selected, the TV will tur n on and tune to Video2 automatically , when the Video2 input device is turned on.
SETUP 55 This function will automatically turn the Projection TV on and off , one time only , e very day , or once a week. Use CURSOR to select Event 1, 2 or 3. Use CURSOR to change position of On time, Off time , Antenna, Channel, and On/Off F requency .
