10 HOW TO SETUP YOUR NEW HITACHI LCD TELEVISION To take measures to prevent the LCD Televi sion from tipping over and prev ent possible injury it is important to mount the unit in a stable place. Securing to a wall *Keep the LCD Television four inches away from the wall except those hung to the wall mount bracket.
ENGLISH 11 HOW TO SETUP YOUR NEW HITACHI LCD TELEVISION Caution when moving the main unit As this product is heavy, whenever it is moved, two people are required to transport it safely. Whenever the unit is moved it s hould be lifted forward using the top and base on both sides for stability.
12 FRONT PANEL CONTROLS Front VIEW 26” LCD Television POWER light indicator To turn the television ON, press the main po wer button located on the BACK right side of the television. A red stand-by ind icator lamp located on the lower right corner of the front bezel will illuminate.

14 REAR PANEL MAIN POWER SWITCH & JACKS MAIN POWER button This power button is for the complete system, and must be turned ON/OFF manual ly. It is recommended to leave the “MAIN POWER” to ON condition (lights red) for stand-by mode. NOTE: It is required that there should be at least 5 seconds between MAIN POWER button off than on.

ENGLISH 17 CONNECTING EXTERNAL SOURCES The exact arrangement you u se to connect the PC, VCR, camcorder, laserdisc player, DVD player, or HDTV Set Top Box to your LCD television is dependent on the model and features of each component. Check the owner’s manual of each component for the locatio n of video and audio inputs and outputs.

20 Remote Control Buttons and Functions Turn the Television On or Off z Press the button to turn the television on or standby mode. z When television is turned on, the power lamp changes from red to green. Choose a Television Channel z Use Number buttons to choose specific channel.
21 Remote Control Buttons and Functions Adjust the Volume z Press the -/+ buttons to adjust the volume. z The volume indicator appears and the volume changes as you press the -/+ buttons. z Muting the sound : Press the (MUTE) button to turn off the sound.

26 OSD (On-Screen Display) To use all your television’s functions, you need to understand the basic menu operating techniques fully. THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT MODES FOR THE OSD ARE THE FOLLOWING: Video Mode: Displays w hen the TV, VIDEO1, VIDEO2, VIDOE3, and VIDEO4 is selected.
ENGLISH 27 OSD (On-Screen Display) Picture Setting z Picture mode Y ou can choos e one of the four PICTURE MODE to adjust the picture settings. They are Dynamic, Natural, Cinema, and Game. z Picture Adjustment Y ou can change the picture s ettings of each PICTURE MODE as you like.
28 OSD (On-Screen Display) Initial Setup z Language Select LANGUAGE and press S / T buttons to choose the language. They are English, Chinese, si mplified Chinese, Japanese, Russian. z Auto Channel Scan In auto channel scan, the TV automatically scans through all available channels.

The picture position, clock, and phase will be optimiz ed. 2. Whenever your LCD-T V is connected to the PC, or you have changed the PC display mode.
