T he HK 3470 has been custom-designed to provide all the excitement and power of rock, jazz and popular music, and every nuance of classical selections .

5 FRONT P ANEL CONTROLS 1 Main P ower Switch: Press this button to apply power to the HK 3470. When the switch is pressed in, the unit is placed in a Standby mode, as indicated by the P ower Indicator 3 sur- rounding the System P ower Control 2 . T his button MUST be pressed in to operate the unit.

12 INST ALLA TION AND CONNECTIONS System Installation After unpacking the unit and placing it on a solid surface capable of supporting its weight, you will need to mak e the connections to your audio and video equipment. T hese steps need to be done only when the receiver is first installed or when a change is made to the input source equipment.

T hese connections are easy to mak e dur- ing an initial installation, or at a later date should you choose to upgrade your system.
14 OPERA TION Basic Operation T he HK 3470 is simple to operate , and very sim- ilar to stereo receivers you may have used in the past. T his section will explain the use of several features that may be new to you. • Install the two supplied AAA batteries in the remote as shown.
